Hell, when I thynk about it, the only time I can squat till my butt touches the floor and get back up without knee pain is when I have a barbell attached to my neck!!! Peace..~G

No ACL, the surgery i had was called Carticell. I had a hole in my knee and it was very deep to, so they took a bone off my shin, attached it to the hole, stapled it down then injected new cells in it. It took 18months to grow new cells before i could start exercising. I spent 2 years in bed, wheel chair, crutches, walkers, canes etc. Finally i am off all that shyt and my strength has slowly came back. The best exercises i have found to work best for me are 1 leg presses, 1 leg hack squats, DB lunges and DB step ups. These have made killer results in my quads. I still try to squat but i can not straighten my right leg out all the way, ( i am 30% disabled now) so squats are rather hard to do but i do them from time to time. But the 1 leg exercises for 4 sets of 6-8 reps with heavy weight followed by 2 to 3 drop sets with medium weight until failure has given me incredible gains.
