When I started lifting weights I was 140 pounds at 5'10". 6 years later I now weigh 210 at 5'10". I'm hoping to hit around 230 by January :ninja:

Hey Derek! Great thread! It's cool to see how much you've progressed over the years.

Keep up the good work!

When you say "Take the summer off," what does that consists of? Just lifting 2 times/week and eating semi clean?

Just not competing. Still training and dieting hardcore without the stress of an upcoming competition.

My chest (especially upper chest) is a big weak point for me. I know it's a silly question but did you find anything worked particularly well for you? I know that basically it's all the same but just curious.

So far i'm finding that really slow negatives (6 seconds) done in a Dogg crap style work very well.

Incline Barbell Press, 3 second negatives with a 3 second isometric hold when the bar reaches your chest. Don't rest the bar on your chest, try to keep tension on your upper pecs and stretch them more and more during those 3 seconds.
