Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 4 | ^ Great info EME, I am deciding now whether to stay natural and compete someday in a amateur natural event. If I stay natural, I'm sure I would compete next year or the year after in some local natural events. I've gotten to really close to competition state once (4.4%bf) and I wouldn't want to do it that often, but once or twice a year would be alright. If I don't stay natural, I'm sure I wouldn't ever compete.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 55 | Hey man, If you think you'd enjoy it, I'd encourage you to compete, whether natural or not. Being drug free is a choice I made, but I have no bad feelings toward guys who choose the other road. I have lots of great friends who have made that choice. Either way, competing is great, if you enjoy the challenge of changing your body, and like to be in the spotlight. The playing field is different if you are competing drug free, vs. if you are using prescription anabolics. There is no doubt about that. The top drug free guys look amazing, but they aren't as big AND as hard at the same time. I don't think it's fair, or cool for someone who has obviously been using to come to the drug free shows and compete just so they can place better. The competitions should be fair. If you do a drug free show, it should be drug free. If you compete in an open show.. then bring your best physique to the stage by whatever means. Either way though.. even if you decide to take the "other" path... I wouldn't count out competing... bring it and see how you like it! I love it, and I'll probably keep competing and working to get better my entire life. I'll probably be one of those guys in the Masters over 60 class one day throwin down on a stage near you! :bigthumbu - EME Quote:

| Mushroom Cloud Laying.... | I may go to the NPC Northern Kentucky in march. Not 100% sure yet, but I have two friends who are twins that are going to do some serious damage. Both of them are about 5'5 or so, weigh about 180 and are serious contenders. If they would quit focusing on pling and went to bodybuilding they would probably have a legit chance at getting pro cards by the time they are 24-25. They are 20 now.

| NGA & IDFA Master Pro | Michael. This will be your first WNSO Pro contest, right? The 2005 contest was a little shaky. It was their first effort. They charged too much for tickets and too many seats were empty. Some of us competed in front of the judges and few others. I hope FAME gets their act together in 2006. It was a fun show to compete in, nevertheless. I finished Third in Men's 60+. I'm going back to place First. I also placed out of the money in Advanced Men's Lightweights (150 pounds). I will place in the top five this time. LOL |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 55 | Hey Old Navy, Yep, this will be my first Pro show. I heard some of the same things about last year's show. However, they seem to have already made some changes to make things much better. I actually exchanged some e-mails this morning with Jeff Kippel ( FAME / WNSO co-founder ). They have moved to a new location with free parking. That should be a big advantage. And, they have substantially lowered the ticket and entry costs. I believe they have also changed it so that if you have an Expo ticket you can see all the amateur competitions for no additional charge. Only the Pro shows cost additional to see. Good luck with your training and preparations.... I know I'm focused and hitting it hard! - EME Quote:

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 55 | Thanks bro. This is going to be a big step up for me, going to the Professional Level. I hope to truly be competitive for the top spots in few years after I add some more size. For 2006, I plan to be as ripped and polished as possible, and I look forward to having a great time competing in the show. Thanks for the support! - EME Quote:

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 55 | You can do it man. Just remember that you don't have to be 200 lbs to compete though. If we all waited until we were Ronnie Coleman to get onstage, the competitions would be pretty empty! In 2003, I was 143 lbs in contest shape. This year, I was 165 lbs, and next year, I should be about 175 lbs. I hope to continue to gain about 10 lbs LBM each year, and in a couple years, I'll be competing at close to 200. But, none of that would have happened if I hadn't gotten back on stage in 2003 at 143 lbs. As soon as you feel you are ready, get up there. Very few of the teen guys at the State level look like Arnold. Most of the good teen competitors that I have seen are just really ripped. Most of the size comes later. Start learning how to pose properly now, becasue that will go a long way to helping you on stage when the time comes for you to compete. One of the biggest problems novice competitors have is not knowing how to pose properly, and not knowing how to properly transition between poses, and do their quarter turns properly. Learn that, and you'll be way ahead of the game. Good luck with your training! - EME Quote:
