Exclamation Competiting in a week.. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Hey guys I got a friend who is competiting in a week and hes is currently 190LBS @ 5/8. It seems that he is loosing muscle full/hardness. He had 2 high rep/set workouts last week and approx 3-3 1/2 hrs of cardio. He has one more workout to do which will be on Tuesday. I was wondering if he is lowerig his carbs too much? He told me that he is getting 30-40g of carbs and 300g+ protein e/d.

What can be the cause of his muscle flatness?

HELP!

Thanks

Many people will drop carbs that low during peak week, to deplete glycogen, and the muscles are supposed to flatten out. It's not the approach I prefer, but to each his own.

I think he meant he's gotten 3 to 3.5 hours of cardio total.

The flatness is likely caused by glycogen depletion like madman said. Maybe he should do some carbing up before the show? I have no bodybuilding expertise so don't count on that lol

Sorry aobut that I did meant 3-3 1/2 hrs a week in total.

He is upping his carbs by 30grams today and another 20 tommorrow and then just blasting them inn Thursday and Friday. As of today he will be getting 70gs of carbs, then tommorrow he will get 90gs. he is also loading up on the sodium and is going to dropit on friday (not completely) and he said that he is also going to do some Creatine Loading to get rid of the excess water and tighten the skin.

He is 190LBS Now @ about 6% BF.

How many carbs and Fats shouwld he be getting @ 5-4 days out?

Is it safe to sodium Deplete and Creatine load?

wobwob im not really going to touch this as there are many ways to skin a cat and everyone's body is different and i wouldn't give advice unless i have monitored him for at least two weeks to see how he reacts to certain small changes so with that said i will throw out these small tidbits, about looking flat well thats how he is supposed to look the last week the object (with most) is to deplete glycogen and that makes you look small soft and flat, i have a lot more muscle than your friend it sounds like and i went zero carbs my last week before the north americans and i did not carb up until friday night at 10:pm and look how full i was, but i shitloaded and ate the highest calorie foods i could eat, like brownies, cheesecake, pizza, fast food, and strawberry cake, and some doughnuts ha ha ha! so dont worry your man should have filled back out just fine as i assume from the date of the first post that his show has already happened. drop the creatine load and if you want to pull as much water into the muscle at possible there are better over the counter supps that will do this much better and superhydrate you (hint).

sorry guys for the delay but my friend, did it all wrong... he had only one meal to eat the day before the comp. He made his weight calss for the middle weight and came inn as flat as hell. the thing is that this was his frist time competiting and he was the only person in his weight class and he was happy. I guess thats what matters.

He weighted 176LBS at the weight inn.
