| IronMass Donator | Not that anybody was wondering, but here is what is up. I have failed at the IMPC. Not just a little bit of 'off' but straight up, no holds barred, put that in your pipe and smoke it FAILURE. As of last Wednesday I was 8 lbs heavier than when I started the IMPC and I don't think that I should get any kind of recognition for 'keeping with it to the end' for a level of failure like that - besides, 8 lbs is plenty of a reminder of what I didn't do. I also pretty much gave up about a month ago and just say 'fuggit'. Having said all of that, I am currently in the miserable throes of CKD again and the weight is coming off, so at least I have that going for me - which is nice. I'm going to hook up with a local trainer who trains natural bodybuilders, maybe having someone who is local and can be like 'what the hell are you doing?' on a weekly basis can help me figure out what I'm lacking for personal discipline that keeps me screwing up. I do respect and congratulate all of those who finished, more than anybody WifeofPsychoholic - who has managed to lose so much and do such a good job despite me being such an enabler for destruction - she is incredible. I'll still be around and posting the occasional progress pics for shits and giggles as I work towards my ultimate goals. Chris |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 34 | Chris, Actually I was wondering, it is good to hear from you. I didn't want to ask in case the reasons were personal. I can understand the feeling you are having, I have had the same feeling at times myself but IMO you are being too hard on yourself! Even though you had some trouble it sounds like you've learned alot about what works and doesn't work for you with your diet and training and you are continuing on your journey despite any setbacks. That shows dedication in my book! Having someone local to push you might be just what you need and sounds like you are doing great with the CKD. It takes alot of courage to step up and participate in this contest and post pictures up every month. I do believe that you deserve recognition and I hope you will come back next year. ![]() Good luck with all your goals. ~DM

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 158 | You and me both bro.... Hell, I put on about 80lbs since the IMPC began. We're both part of a secret society of yo yo dieters. Our will is good, the desire is their, but our genetics make it hard to keep up the pace. It's hard to stay on track when you can put on 5lbs just watching someone else eat icecream. I know man, I've been there. Hell, I live there. Even if you put on 8lbs bro... it's better than the 20 you might have put on if you never joined the IMPC. So you get my recognition brother. Quote:

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 6 | You didn't fail because you have a plan. You are still going and you sounds like you know where you want to go. This contest thing is good for motivation but can be very bad when you have those times were you feel like you are going backward. I can't count the number of times I wanted to drop out! Use the bumps in the road to climb on. Just remember that you did the best you could (considering all that goes on in life).... and you will do the best you can! ![]() |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 39 | Just never give up bro. Keep pushing and you will reach your goals. It may take longer than others but this is mind game imo. Not physical so keep your head strong and you will do it.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 115 | i'm a CKDer myself. Just use the carb re-feeds as motivation to low carb the rest of the time. The stricter your diet, the more effective the high carb days are. Don't get a trainer. Read up on training yourself. 98% of trainers are morons. Stick to the basics. For weightloss, 3 full body sessions each weak with 2-3X low intensity cardio on off days is a plan for success! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!
