Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 34 | After much deliberation, I have decided to have some surgery to remove various excess skin leftover from the 120+ lbs I have lost over the last 1.5 years. I was originally planning to do this in November after IMPC was over, but my family schedule is such that July 28th will be the most opportune time for me to have this done. Therefore, July pics will be my last submission and I will regretfully be resigned from the IMPC at that time. Since my surgery will result in visible changes in my appearance, it will disqualify me from the IMPC. The IMPC training portion of my transformation log will run through July 9th and then I will likely try to find it a home outside of the IMPC area to continue logging. I will need to go off most supplements 2 weeks prior to surgery but will continue to train up until then. After, I will log my diet and eventual workouts during recovery when I resume them. As those of you who read my log know, my tummy area especially is very difficult for me to overlook and overshadows my progress in other areas. So although recovery will be a setback, I believe the benefits will outweigh this and I will come back even more motivated, focused and better than ever! I will be off work for a week and taking it easy for about 3 weeks and then begin walking until I can resume cardio and lifting in some form at about 6 weeks. After I am fully recovered, I intend to do another plan with EME and I look forward to more great results! Thank you to all for your support. I will definitely miss you all and be cheering you on! If you have nothing better to do, feel free to come visit my relocated log once in a while boring as it will be with no workouts for a bit I realize that not everyone will agree with my choice in this matter nor find it relevant to BB, but I am sharing it because it will be impacting my training and is part of my personal experiences and thus part of my log. Also, I'd like my online friends not to think I fell off the face of the earth! Not that anyone would do this, but I ask that if you have personal issues with my choice please don't flame me or start a debate on cosmetic surgery. It will not change my mind and will only hurt my feelings . This was a difficult and well-researched decision for me. I am sad to leave the IMPC, but this is also about improvement and can only enhance my motivation. I look forward to doing more log reading to cheer on others and stay motivated while I am recovering. ![]() Best of luck to all the competitors! ![]() Dawn

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 6 | I'm happy for you that you are doing this as an empowering thing when the timing works for you. I can see how frustrating the stomach issue must be and if I have a similar issue I expect I'll be making a similar choice. (And now I have a shot at winning :P) I'll be sad to see you go as you've kept the forum lively, but I'll hold you to your promise of motivational intervention. When you are recovered, I'd love to hear about it if you feel like sharing. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 10 | Dawn, Sorry to see you leaving the IMPC, but you gotta do what you gotta do. I already know, that once I make it down to the weight I need to be (123-143) and I still have my tummy flab, I will do the exact same thing. DH and I have already talked about this numerous times and researched a lot. I whish you the best in your Surgery and recovery. I am myself still out of the loop until the next 4 weeks, when I should be able to get cleared to lift again full blast. Today will be my very first time using some very light weights to do just a little upper body and get myself going again. Make sure you follow all of your doc's orders, you only have 1 try to heal correctly the first time.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 34 | A big Thank You and to everyone for your support and nice comments. They are genuinely appreciated!! I will be down for a bit but, not out!! This is just the beginning and I cannot WAIT to come back and get totally shredded with another EME plan - woo hoo! STAGE , you are really funny Michael! I'm not sure if it would be allowable for me to post monthly pics if I am not competing but I will likely continue to post progress in my log for those interested. You won't want to see pics of me in early Aug for sure (scary!), but I hope to be looking good by Sept, or sooner! I am sure I will be much less resistant to posting pics from now on if I get the results I am hoping for. I am not having any muscle repair in the tummy (Dr said I have "rock hard abs" imagine that! ) so hope to recover sooner and be walking in a couple weeks. But I will try to be a good patient and listen to my Dr. Although Hubby says I would have to be heavily medicated or restrained to sit still and not exercise even that long LOLWell, enough of my rambling...just another big, giant THANK YOU!! Sincerely, Dawn
