I am impressed with everyone on here!

Allow me to have a warm and fuzzy moment here for a second.

I don't take off my shirt in public or outdoors, I have enough self respect that I don't want to be the guy that is walking around wearing something that would deemed grossly inappropriate (fat hairy dudes walking around water parks just disgusts me beyond words), and as such I have developed a super self conscious outlook of me without a shirt on. It was a pretty big step for me to ask Nikki to take pictures for the IMPC, and it was a big step for her as well to enter the contest because of the perceived attitude of people like on bb.com that can be less than favorable. But on here I have seen nothing but positive comments for/from everyone, and a huge amount of community support for this movement. It was comforting to see a warm reception for both myself and my lovely wife as we enter this contest together. I hope that everyone makes it all the way through to the end of this contest and we all gain strength from each other and keep each other going. That is how a real community is built and it is refreshing to be part of it.

Ok, and now back to me being my normal self. :moon:

This is the very same reason I love Ironmass. A lot of the elitist attitude you will find elsewhere is left at the door. We are all here to support, encourage, and push each other.. all with some good natured trashtalk and teabaggin.

Glad you feel that way bro. We all feel like family here and want everyone else to feel the same so we work hard at providing a good environment to grow in. Some find it boring cause it's not edgy enough or controversial enough but we'd rather build up people then knock them down for a cheap laugh. Everyone that comes here is genuinely interested in BB or powerlifting so we all try to help bring out the best in each other.

I agree 100%. that's why I stay too...a lot of compassion from these folks. They genuinely care. The feeling is mutual.

I agree with many things you said. I too am very self conceince of myself and am sure a majority of people here are. I am so proud of everyone that is supportive of this competition. Not only does it give us motivation over a long period of time to change our outside appearance it gives each of us the ability to change how we feel inside. I love IMPC!
