Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 8 | Here are my April photos. Let's just say I have had a couple weeks of "bulking" after my contest. I really missed pizza, ice cream, etc. and have enjoyed myself the last couple weeks. I do feel much better than I did last year when I began the IMPC and look forward to the competition this year. Best of luck to all. Also, feel free to be critical and offer any suggestions or comments. After experiencing a contest I am well aware I need to improve.

| IMPC Contestant | Your back is looking damn fine and that tiny waistline is scary. The open division is looking damn competitive... one question, you not competing in MIP too? SCT

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 8 | You're off to a great start this year. Lots of bulk time left - you should do it as clean as possible so the cut is easier and you'll have less muscle loss. I lost alot of muscle and strength with my cut last year.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 8 | hibiscus09- Thank you. I am lucky that my waist is naturally narrow (when I eat properly). I am hoping to increase the lat and shoulder width more during the competition. stonecoldtruth- Thanks. I thought about the Most Improved, but I actually think I did most of my improvement from the end of last IMPC til about two weeks ago. (Dropped weight from 208 to 170). I hope to improve tremendously, but losing the bodyfat is usually the biggest factor in a most improved contest. Right now I honestly don't want to see the scale or my bodyfat percentage after my two week binge. hybridx- Thanks. That is my plan for this year. I need to gain size, but I do not want to get as heavy as I used to be. I had to lose so much fat that I also lost a lot of size and strength in the process.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 8 | Thanks again everyone. Also, I know it's kind of odd to ask the competition, but does anybody have any suggestions about which bodyparts I should try to improve upon most. I know cutting the overall bodyfat is always going to be my biggest issue, but I am trying to determine which areas I should focus on for size. spaceclown- Thanks, and I agree, their is some solid competition in the open this year. Spirit is a stud, Madman is probably going to be at 3% bodyfat at the end and there are some other very solid physiques out there. justtryn- I would recommend you go check out Madman's and my original entries in the 2006 IMPC. Everyone has to start from somewhere and I believe you have a very solid base. Like Spirit says, compete against last year's version of yourself. spirit3530- Thanks. You are definately going to be the one everyone is gunning for with the condition you are in already. DawnMarie- Thank you. I am glad to see you are entering the bodybuilding also. I think you will enjoy it.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 3 | OR - you look great! As for which body parts, I would like to see your delts and back get a little bigger. That would really help to emphasize your naturally small waist. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 8 | Simpy- Thanks for the input. I always like to hear what others think because we all tend to have a different image in our mind of what we look like compared to how others see us. My overall bodybuilding goal at this point is to get to where I could battle for a title at a natural bodybuilding contest. I feel as though I have it in me and if I focus on the right areas I could get there in a few years. I really did enjoy the experience of competing with others on stage. I definately see what you mean about the shoulders. My training partner and I tend to avoid working them due to old injuries and general joint pain. That will likely be one of my areas of focus. I actually felt pretty good about my back because it was looking lean and I saw that as a strength of mine going into my contest. However, then I got to the show and the guy in my class had a beastly back and I looked like a little kid next to him. Since that point building a big thick back has been high on my list of physique priorities. I have been a little concerned about whether my legs will be big enough to be competitive. And like just about everyone else I always think my arms and chest need to be bigger. JJ and Lowdown- Thank you both for the encouragement. I hope to improve over the next several months and come in large and much more lean.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 299 | :clapping: Great start this year bro! Your WAY ahead of last year in every respect. As far as area's needing improvement your pretty strong over all but you need more upper chest mass and your traps need more size as well. Bring those up and you'll have a very balanced build and should do great! Best of luck this year bro! I'm sure your gonna kill it! ![]() |
