The Wii looks kinda stupid, if you ask me...the controller is a ridiculous remote controller looking contraption. Nintendo just keeps pounding more nails into the coffin that is its U.S. sales.

absolutely, their biggest mistake ever was sticking with the cartirdge type games for the nintendo 64 instead of making the transfer over to disks. adn then the gamecube ran those damn mini disks and wasnt compatible to be used as a dvd player or something. they just keep screwing themselves.

They own some of the greatest titles.. and they are concentrating more on the games this time and less on the dvd availibilty and graphic war. As for the dvd player... most homes already have one.. and as for backward compatibility... how many of you owning a ps2 or ps3 really play ps1 games? All that does is give people the "assurance" that the games they already own,... although will never be played again.. werent a waste of money.
Personally i dont play any of the xbox games on the 360... seems like a waste, much better games out there.. which is why i have the 360.. i dont know many ppl that say " hey! i bought a ps3 for (x) amount of dollars, now im gunna go buy crash bandacoot and play it cuz it can play ps1 games!"

Gears of war is one of the only games I'd play on 360.

The only thing i dont like.. is that the multi-player(online) is a lil limited.. and the capture the flag mode seems to have... dropped off the face of the earth

i can honestly say that i own a ps2 and still play ps1 games. all the resident evil games i owned before (those things ****ing OWNED), crash team racing (funny as hell when your bored with 3 friends and drinking), and some of the old madden games as well.

ok well for an old laugh when ur drunk sure... or even when ur extremely bored out of ur friggen skull... but ur not gunna play them over and over on a next gen system. Maybe your the one odd ball who plays the ps1 games still.. but they really have gone out of style fast.. with a few exceptions

(Final fantasy 7-9, Legend Of Dragoon, Legend of mana, chrono cross and so forth.. etc etc etc)

i forgot about the final fantasy games. i play those too every so often.

have you ever played the resident evil games (specifically 2 or 3)? if you have, you have to admit they warrant playing again. i wanna pick up the new resident evil games for ps2, i havent yet just cause i havent had the money.

i guess. but there will always be classics....and its much nicer to have a backwards compatible console than having to keep many seperate consoles around just to play certain games.

its just not the same playing it on the computer. ive used SNES emulators on for old school donkey kong games and the mario games, but its just not the same playing it on a keyboard instead of the controllers.
