What will be the metal release of the year?

No surprises from me - I'd have to say without a doubt Annihilation of the Wicked by Nile. However, I have heard that Virus by Hypocrisy is meant to be awesome - haven't managed to land a copy of the album yet though. Anyone else want to tell me how good it is?

Didn't mind Ghost Reveries. I dunno though, Opeth are great - but not brutal enough. Behemoth and Nile ruined me

Ghost of Perdition
The Baying of the Hounds
Beneath the Mire
Grand Conjuration

Hypocrisy's Virus so far from what I've gotten this year is definatley the best release of the year, the new 1349 coming out will be a tough contender, also the new Dark Funeral will be slightly better then their average release :P

PS: If you guys still all really need VIRUS I might re-rip it and u/l it for you guys :P

Heard that the new Dark Funeral was on its way out. Wouldn't mind finding a copy of that. Luckily the CD store in town I normally visit finally has some decent metal releases coming in on more than a semi regular basis

I picked up the odd Opeth, My Dying Bride and Slayer album there, but recently I've managed to find Nile, Diabolical Masquerade and even some Gorgoroth.

All I can find around here is the more popular Death metal stuff. Shit like Hypocrisy, Bloodbath, Katatonia and amazingly even Death have to be ordered in. I think I'll try and find a cd store more geared towards metal.

I'm lucky to have tons of Newbury Comics all over my area... but I get alot of stuff sent to me from labels for reviews..etc..etc.. NC has a website you can order from :P
