What's your least favorite part of Half Life 1?

For me there's four things listed in order.

1) That giant crab claw monster thing with no eyes... it just bangs around at any noise it hears, and in both sections of the (albeit long) game, it takes FOREVER to get past the son of a bitch.

2) The spider/crab monster thing right before the end boss on the xen planet. That thing is RIDICULOUS hard, and I'll admit to never being able to defeat him w/o cheating.

3) The JUMPS on the xen planet was were just a *pinch* too much. Not only do you have to deal with lower gravity, but you gotta do mega long jumps in space.

4) The end boss was ugly

My favorite expansions were Opposing force (no complaints about that one at all! Col. Sheperd is the man!) and Gunman chronicles (unrelated to main story but AWESOME game)

Xen Planet sucked

I hated Blue Shift but I did enjoy opposing force.

Yeah blue shift was a steaming pile of shit. The levels on the xen planet were loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong.... like stupid monotonous long. Not even with enemies, just walking down endless corridors hoping you're going the right way.

you have to HOLD DOWN shift and ctrl to walk/crouch so you don't make any noise, and you gotta throw grenades to make it tap away from you.... it takes forreeeeeeever, and just one little slip up and it kills you.... and you gotta navigate around 3 levels of ladders around it. I hate it.

it's kinda cool when you do though... cos you press a button on the blast pit, and you get to watch it get flamed to death. Then you drop down the hole it came from and there are zombies down there iirc... then you get to the abandon railway and fight the ninjas/special forces....

The graphics aren't bad for such an old game huh?
