System of a Down and Hatebreed!!

Me and dnyc99 are going to this. I saw SOAD a few months back and LOVED it! One of the best live bands I've ever seen and I've seen hundreds. Anyone seen Hatebreed live? Are they good live? I listen to a lot of their stuff at the gym to get me pissed off and pumped up just wondering if that comes across well live?

Ive heard mixed reviews about hatebreed doing their live shows..

they are currently down here or were..with Korn/Disturbed..wouldve been a crazy show..

and at warped last year they played a lousy show.

Anyway, I saw an absolutely ****ing awesome Suffocation concert a few days ago, opened by Thy Flesh Consumed and Hellacaust. I'm pretty good friends with the guitarist of thy flesh consumed, so she made it a lot more enjoyable for me, not that it wouldn't have been killer anyway. She was pretty much responsible for suffocation coming, just like the year before, and earlier this year behemoth. I'm going to Wacken 2007 for sure, despite never having a REALLY solid card, i'm willing to sift through a bit of shit to see dozens of bands like Kreator, Sodom, Destruction, Immortal, Amon Amarth, Gamma Ray, etc. all within three days.

Another awesome show by SOAD! Dnyc was feeling under the weather so we missed Hatebreed but it was still great!

SOAD are a bunch of pussies. I really liked their shit for a while and then it turned into a weaker version of Rage Against the Machine. Yes, we get it - you're anti-war. Yes, we get it, you're anti-establishment. Thank you for putting out an entire album about it. Whiny bitches. (if you ever saw the interview they did with Juliya - man, that woman does something for me - they are total pussies and rude as hell)

Now Hatebreed on the other hand. I can't really stand Jasta hosting Headbangers Ball (give it back to Riki dammit!), but I love them as a band. My old band opened up for them in '03 (it was a killer year for us - we opened up for Mastodon, Anthrax, Hatebreed, Superjoint Ritual, Slaves on Dope, Dog Fashion Disco, MISFITS!, The Exploited [they actually asked us to come on tour with them, but we couldn't afford it at the time], and a couple more I can't remember). We didn't get to meet them, but we did get to drink beer with their road manager Sully. He came down to check us out and 2 bars into the first song I broke a string on my bass and just had to go apeshit and make it look like it was on purpose. He loved it!

Man, I got off track in a hurry.

lol..well I'm still a fan even if I don't agree with their views or the way they acted in that interview. I've seen pretty much every band in existance act like assholes at one time or another. I think they just get totally fed up and bored with the same old questions time after time. As far as their political views I'd rather they have some then be a band who only sings about getting laid or drinking or whatever meaningless BS 99% of music is about. Whether you agree or not with what they are saying at least it will spark some discussion.
