Default So has anyone actually printed the ironmass poster and put it in their gym?

To be really honest, I'd be embarassed if guys at the gym came and saw my progress pictures, and wealth of fat loss knowledge. Granted in the past year I've made huge progress while most of them stayed the same... but... it'd be embarassing, you know?? I'm not really friendly with anyone at my gym, and sometimes people give me fudged up looks like they dont like me. One time some old chick with like 9% bodyfat came up to me and scolded me about my form while squatting. (She stared at me before doing so, so now everytime someone looks at me I think they are gonna come scold me and it pisses me off hardcore)

Yeah, I'm not putting up the posters. Sorry. If I ever go out of town I'll print some up.

Man.. I thought my mug was all over Pittsburgh.. home of the Steelers.... :bigthumbu

......and then I read the rest of the post.

Seriously though...... Hopefully the flyers will let more people know about IronMass.

If you have a good place at your gym or school to put them up... we'd appreciate you getting the word out!

For those that might not know exactly how to do it..

Just Right Click on the picture and select Save Picture As...
and then save the .jpg file to your hard drive

It's a 150 dpi image, so if you have a decent deskjet printer, or a good laser printer it should print out nicely. I tested it on my Laser at work and it printed well in Black and White.

Thanks!

I wonder how much money it would take to put a page ad in a few mags like Flex... MD?...

That actually costs a LOT more than you might think.

We can ask King, I think he looked into it for ***************.com

It's in the thousands....sometimes multi thousands, depending on the magazine and placement in the magazine.

It's an investment, and worth it if you stand to make a lot of money from the Ad, but it definitely isn't cheap at all.

The posters look ok, not the best though. If were getting people then I guess it's good.

Do you mean you don't like the design, or that it didn't print out well?

MD is $3500 for a full-page ad.

The best form of advertising for this place, hands down, is search engine rankings. Unfortunately you'll need a lot of black magic to compete for 'bodybuilding' related searches... part of bodybuilding.com's massive popularity is due to it's MASSIVE hold on the search engine. Go ahead, try it, search for a fitness topic and bodybuilding.com will come up in the first page.

I don't know what sholiz has been doing for e-advertisements, but once in a while I go nuts submitting my site to search engines and begging high traffic sites to link to me. Also having your site listed on (i think it's) dmoz.org is an almost guarantee you'll be picked up by most of the search engines wether you submit it or not.

Agreed.

Internet advertising and search engine rankings are fantastic, especially for an Online site.

I just built a link for IronMass into the permanent main Menu on my site, and added an Ad for IronMass to the scrolling news ticker I have running on the front page.

Any internet advertising we can do, especially when it's free, is big.

Of course, we have to use every available option we have, especially the free ones, like flyers... if we really want to expand the site.

All low cost advertising, whether hi tech, or low tech is a good thing!
