Default Sin City!

Anyone else pumped about getting this movie? I really dug it, one of the cooler movies I've seen in the last year. :nosthumbs

I haven't seen it and I don't think that I will since my co-worker, who has a high threshold for violence, said that it disturbed him. He did say that it was visually very cool.

it inspired me to go check out the books. i must say, the movie really did do the books justice. and the books arent just comic books, its much more than that, probably why they call it a graphic novel. Too bad though, they only fit 3 stories in the movie. i think theres like 6 or 7 in total

It is good. It is very disturbing, and it glorifies everything in the world that is wrong. Acting is superior to most. Great casting, great story. But if you have problems with violence, cursing, and disturbing plot lines, then this isn't the movie for you. I am glad that quentintin Taratino was a producer. It defintely is one of his type of movies.

I give it a 9/10 my girlfriend probably gave it a 3/10

I'd say if you can handle Pulp Fiction or Resevoir Dogs you can handle this. It's no more violent then Kill Bill and you watched that.

Kill Bill was sort of comical violence to me. Is that how Sin City violence is?

No, its completely serious with some dark humour to "lighten" it up (relatively)...for christ's sake though, any adult should be able to tolerate it.

Il give you a heads up i think a total of 6 scrotums were mutilated in that movie.

Yes, very good movie no doubt - very different from what I expected or any of my friends expected. At the start I thought it would be a dodgey movie and I was already pissed off at giving away 11.50$ for the ticket, but damn did that change.

Great movie should go see it.

You mean Elija Wood? Ya he was freaky in that movie, hard to pick out one thing since I liked the whole movie so much. I need to see it again to pick out specifics. It was just so different then the your typical hollywood film that it just exudes a coolness.

Superb movie. One of the better ones to come out in ages, in my opinion.

I have a 6.1 receiver as well, but I never bought that rear centre speaker. I dont like the idea of the sound being matrixed from the rear sides into that rear centre. I like discrete channels. To spend $300-$400 on a centre for the rear too - not sure if it would be worth it. Might try a spare non-centre though.

Did you try the different 6.1 channel modes on your receiver and set up the menu to identify that sixth speaker?
