Rip DVD to iPod?

Any of you wacky dudes and dudettes rippin' DVDs to yer iPods?
I downloaded Handbrake and tried to rip a DVD, but apparently I'm an idiot.

Before I try again, I figured I'd check with some of you allz out in da IronMass hemisphere and maybe get my sh*t straightened out...

The way I understand it, the freeware stuff is better than Roxio stuff...

Thanks for helping me out... (Yes, I own the DVDs...)

i dont have a ipod, but i found out how to do it with my sandisk sansa

what format does it have to be in? im pretty sure mp4, so id say get CloneDVD

its pretty easy to use, but the bad side is it only lasts a couple weeks i think
