There is no rep system because we feel it will only promote rep whoring. IronMass's solution is "silver" and "gold" members. The mod team thinks a poster is helpful and knowledgeable we will vote on upping their rank. It may not be the most streamlined system for signifying quality posters, but it sure beats the rep system.

How about adding "Vets" and "VIP" to outstanding members, with X amount of QUALITY post(without changing the gold/silver status)?
That's a BIG attraction IMO. And will improve the number of daily post per member.

sounds like an interesting idea to me...

You would have to elborate on that idea, for example what determines a quality post, and who is going to go through and read them all

If you think you might have an idea that would work, post it in the site updates/feedback board! We've discussed all sorts of crazy ideas and we WOULD like to incorporate something that would promote quality posting.

Vets would be a good idea ... say 500 posts / 6 months on the site you get bumped to Vet automatically?

Anyone like that idea? It'd keep things interesting and give something more to the people of the site that are the quality members and long-standing members.

I like the idea of having a name under their title to show how much information they've written down or whatever they did to achieve this status. The thing with changable user titles isn't the best thing for some, good for the silver and gold members because their status is shown by color. The red people donate, I guess they could get it. Doesn't really mean their good or bad members though.

When I pick up some more free time I'll make a way to show donators, gold, etc. with another line under their name stating that.
