| Soldier In Progress | Yeah, been there over a year now and have never felt the bliss of getting a raise. They cut me down to 2/3 days a week aanndd my manager was talking some pretty "nice" things about me behind my back. So, walked in 5 mins before my shift today and told them that I was done, it was OK since we were overstaffed for the night anyway so they aren't hurting none. Manager said that I was an "unmotivated employee" and I deserved to be fired for "the shit that he does". Put me over the edge ... just really, really, really tired of putting groceries in a bag and dealing with old people. Pushing carts in the snow is really, really, really not worth $5.40 an hour either.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 44 | Should give you even more drive to further that education so you can come back and have someone else bag your groceries ![]() Good luck finding another job though. It's a lot easier to stay motivated if you do something you like or at least know your work has an effect at the end of the day.

| Soldier In Progress | They're dieng for people in South Dakota and I can at least race there ... I watched one of y'alls CASCAR races the other day, talk about BORING.Still requires to be 18 for most any construction type work ... what I want to do more than anything is build houses, from foundation up (Framing, roof systems & trusses, siding ...).

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 44 | If you're into being a mechanic, carpenter, electrician etc it still requires continued education at some point to get ahead. Coming from a long line of tradesmen I can say it isn't what it used to be. Look to advance in any form that is offered because you'll never know what you'll end up needing later on. Best advice I can give ![]()
