Fat people piss me off... they ruin everything... We ridicule smokers all the time, there are commercials telling smokers to quit, telling them that they are killing themselves. But tell a fat person they are fat and they are killing themselves... see how they react.

Well coming from a former fat person... it was probably the way he said it.. that upset her.. some people cant take the straight out truth.. and you have to go about it a different way.. and try to get the same results.. when I was fat.. I knew I was.. so it didnt bother me when my doc said.. hey you are fat.. lose some weight.. but some people you cant do that with.. you have to go about it a little more tactfully..

The reason I responded to this thread is.. at one time in my life.. I weighed over 350 pounds.. had nothing to do with not caring.. but it had alot to do with things that went on in my life that I had no control of.. and no I wont go into detail..because I dont think I need to.. suffice it to say that once I got out of the situation.. I began to work very hard.. and I am now down to about 150... but I just dont like people bad mouthing something that sometimes isnt all their fault.. you have to want to and care about yourself enough to change.. and if you cant find someone to help you do those things.. when you dont.. then you end up being a certain way for a long time.. granted there are people who just dont want to change it.. those are the people who I feel sorry for.. but when you have someone who is overweight.. that wants to change.. just doesnt really know how or what to do.. or doesnt have the support system they need to do it.. more than likely it will not get done.. because of things that haunt them from their lives..

Sometimes even though we dont like something.. or how someone lives.. we need to be a little more understanding.. and try not to put a certain type of person down.. just because we have found a way to handle things in our lives.. sometimes.. all they need is a little support and encouragement.. and good things can happen..

My encouragement come from some really good people in person.. and some on line.. and I appreciate them so much.. because I would not be where I am today if it was not for them helping me out.. telling me I can do it.. telling me I am worth the effort.. it made all the difference..
