Default The Offical Mp3 player Thread

This thread is to discuss anything and everything about mp3 players. Moreso for reviews on mp3 players.

I got the Sandisk Sansa e260, sucker was only 120 in store. Its got 4 gigs, photos, videos, and music. Really easy to put music into, and putting videos on wasnt hard. Not to mention the video quality on this shit is NICE. Its flash memory, so perfect for the gym.

I went through 2 Creative Zen Micros 5 GB. Used them at the gym, bad idea since it has a hard drive, not flash memory. Even then, They are very fragile and most people ahve complaind of hard drive failure. Good player when it works, but i wouldnt reccomend it.

Samsung Xm player 1 GB
it only holds half of that gig for music. I didnt ever use the Xm radio, since the music on tehre sucked ass. Good player, durable, battery life wasnt the greatest. I wouldnt reccomend it though with all the players that are out tehre today.

I dont know why people get Ipods. Maybe because everyone else owns one? They are overpriced Pieces of shit.

I bought an iPod because it works well, I dunno what you're talking about. The older ones(pre-video) take a long time to sync now, but the new models sync very fast and with minimal software issues.

It holds 20 gigs of my music, is light and thin, and sounds good...what more could you want? I've never had a problem with my ipod messing up because I was bouncing it around...mountain biking, snowboarding, lifting, running, etc haven't phased it. Had it for 3.5 years and its still going strong.

Ipod nano - 4gb 1st Generation - Works well, sometimes i actually need to "reboot" the thing to make it work though and it scratches easily. However, its easy to use, clear screen, small and portable.

ehh... i got that one, but like a month after i got it, the screen broke.

it took me a few hours to learn all of the music menus so i knew were i was going, but blindly.

then like another month after that, it just decided to stop working all together.

when i hook it up to the computer via USB, nothing happens.

i must say im thoroughly pissed off with it.

ive heard different about creatives. my brother is on his 2nd, and he said they can take a beating, but once they do break they're a pain to fix.

i guess my sansa couldnt handle the sheer brutality of death metal.

well if the screen broke thats really your fault. how did you break it? THe first creative zen i got, the headphone jack got ****ed up. got a new one, the hard drive jammed and it never worked again. I never dropped them that hard either.

And yes, the San disk sansa shits on the ipod nanos.

have you had a nano to compare it to? You seem pretty confident that your sansa is awesome and that ipods are the worst thing ever; I'd like to hear why you think thats the case.
