It's about 85 degrees in my room now (no ac) and I don't have a fan so I've been sweating in my sleep some. Otherwise, I don't know why that would be having other than from a fever or something.

oh man i was sick pretty much all of last year, it was horrible. and towards the end of each cold/fever i had i would start getting night sweats, bad ones too. i had a system developed where i would sleep on one sheet and then, when i woke up in the middle of the night (which i always did), i would just pull the second sheet i had in reserve over the first so i had a dry sleeping serfice. it was really horrible, i felt like shit and i never got good night sleep when i started getting them. i dont know what casues them it was just around the end of my really bad colds when i got them.

i think its basically a really high core temp so your body sweats out the virus/cold/bad stuff thats in your body. dont take anything like fever reducers because your body needed to get rid of the stuff and that will only reduce the effectivness of the sweats and make them going on longer.

thats all my opinion of course. i should really look into the facts of it all, would be good to know.

I would google night sweats because it is a symptom of some pretty horrendous diseases. No harm in checking it out but there might be if you ignore it. :bigthumbu

That's a good article Pam. When they talk about women & menopause they seem to have forgotten that men go thru it too, but the original poster isn't that old yet.
