Wink New Message From Ron Paul

Want to know a secret? There were two moments I especially enjoyed at the CNN/YouTube debate -- despite my frustration at some of the questions, and the maldistribution of time.

First, I was pleased at John McCain's attack, which he clearly had planned. Not because that sort of stream-of-consciousness nonsense about Hitler and WWII -- when the neocons openly want what they call WW IV! Are we to forget that the first war crime charged at Nuremberg was waging aggressive war?

I mean this: mainstream politicians NEVER attack an opponent they think is far behind. The McCain campaign, we've heard, is worried sick about New Hampshire, and they thought a slam at me would help. Ha! Of course, it only strengthened our forces.

Then, after the debate, Rudy Giuliani walked up to me and said, "Oooh, you sure have a LOT of supporters." It’s only the beginning, I told him.

Indeed, he could have told that by the crowd outside after the debate. Mitt Romney had a few people, but no one else did. We, on the other hand, had about 500 enthusiastic revolutionaries, plus a boat, a trolley, and two planes towing lighted signs. As I looked out at the crowd, I thought: the establishment has no idea of what they are facing. We have an army of freedom, prosperity, and peace. As the LA Times political blog noted the other day, the British also thought they had no problem with the Americans--until Yorktown.

But we have an astoundingly short time before the first contests. The Iowa caucuses are on January 3, the New Hampshire primary is on January 8, and Nevada and South Carolina are both on January 19. We have only 30 days to stake our claim to the nomination, and to the new America that restores the ideals of the founders, and leads the world through free enterprise, a sound dollar, the rule of law, and peaceful example. Not through inflation and bombs.

Help me surprise the neocons and all the establishment with our success. Help me build the foundation for the America we all want. Send your most generous contribution: https://www.ronpaul2008.com/donate. The military-industrial complex, the biased media, the big banks, the Fed, the waterboarders, and the IRS don’t like what we’re doing. But every good American is applauding us, and daring to hope for a better future.

Please, help me give it to them, to us, to all Americans to come. Keep this revolution growing and winning: https://www.ronpaul2008.com/donate.

Sincerely,

Ron

In all seriousness, do you think there is a chance he can beat out the neo-conservatives in the primaries? I lost faith in the system a long time ago and I question if they'd let him. Perhaps you've noticed the distinct absence of ron paul on the major news sites?

From what I know of him, it sounds like he'd make a great president as far as the republican agenda goes, but I sincerely doubt he's going to win the primary. The polls don't show him winning.

Admittedly it is a long shot. 2 months ago the odds from oddsmakers had it at 200:1, it is now down to 6:1. I don't sweat the poll numbers. Those polls are of prior primary voters likely to vote for one of the canidates. It does not include libertarians, independents and democrats who might vote for him because of his "end the war" promise as soon as he is elected As to publicity, Ron Paul is being featured on CNN right now. They are discussing his money raising this quarter. His may be the largest GOP presidential fundraiser.

When asked if he will run as a third party candidate (He is likely to be endorsed by the Constitutional Party and the Libertarian Party), Ron Paul says he has no intentions of doing so. This is always the way he answers the question.

What would have him change his intentions? Perhaps a screwing in the news, the polls and in the primaries. I have seen enough examples of unfair treatment in the debates that would justify his sticking it to the GOP next November. If he were to do that as an independent candidate, I am sure his supporters will follow him. In a scenario of Clinton vs Guilliani vs Ron Paul, I think the odds of a Paul win increase substantially.

A side note, Ron Paul has called for the impeachment of fellow Republican Dick Cheney. That action makes me think that he has written off the possibility of winning in the primaries. I wouldn't rule out a Ron Paul independent (no party) run.

polls equal shit imo... ron paul is winning just about every straw poll there is... the message is getting out

but in the event that he doesn't and does run as an independent "In a scenario of Clinton vs Guilliani vs Ron Paul, I think the odds of a Paul win increase substantially. " I completely agree.. and i really dont understand why anyone would think Giuliani has an actual shot at beating out Barack or Hilary.

Like Ron said, something is happening in America... the media can only ignore us for so long... just wait.

Dennis Kucinich proposed this not Ron Paul... but i'm sure he supports him in his effort to do so.

RON PAUL 2008!!!

Actually I'm about 75% for him... it's just sad that there is no other candidate as sincere as him.

I did however get a phone call from his wife today!

You are probably right, that may have been wishful thinking on my part.

Ron Paul was introduced on some news show and the interviewer said that Ron Palu had called for the impeachment of Cheney. I assumed since there was no to challenge by Paul that that was correct. Ron Paul may not have heard the introduction, so I'll wait until I have heard it in his own words.

I haven't come up with anything that says Paul wants to see Cheney inpeached (first).

Bruce Fein is a close adviser to Ron Paul. This is his view on the matter:

ya but then you run the risk of the nader effect, and risk having the same machine thats been behind Bush the past 8 years in office another 4 years behind Giuliani.

I like Ron Paul, but when it comes down to it I'll vote for whoever has the best chance of keeping giuliani or whoever the republican candidate may be out of office.

the primaries are basically voting for who runs as the republican candidate... depending on the state you live in the primary is either OPEN or CLOSED.

Closed = you have to be registered in that party to vote in that partys primaries.

Open = you don't have to be registered in that party to vote in that party's primaries.
