descrimination towards those who are obese is a real issue. From a socioeconomic standpoint, it is a nasty cycle. Cheap food is fattening food. Not many successful business people are fat due to stigmas of laziness and lack of self responsibility. This is especially true when it comes to females. Many females in top positions may have only been given a chance to be their based on a male's physical attraction or want for her in the office place.

This is good in the fact that it creates opporunity for fat people (so the do not get discriminated against in the workplace, etc.) but it's something that can be somewhat avoided, unlike race or religion.
