Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 0 | This is for a school project im workin on. Basically just have to get 5 maxims you go by and explain about em, then apply them to your life and give an example in paragraph forum. Was pretty boring and didn't care to try to hard on it so I just threw some stuff together. Check it out ! Tell me what you think. *D Maxims “If it gets you there, take it.” If the car runs, drive it. As long as it gets you where you need to go, then you should take it because it may be the only route that gets you there. I personally need a job to make money to get a car. Even if the job is bad, I should still do it because it will help me get money for a car. Getting to your job with a beat up car that barely runs is an example because the car still runs and it gets you to where you need to go. “If you’re going to do it, do it right.” If you’re going to go out of your way to do something, you shouldn’t just try and rush through it. Take your time and finish it or else you may regret it in the end and spend more time fixing it. Like when I have homework. I shouldn’t speed through it and do a horrible job or else I might have to go back and correct it for a grade or something. An example would be when lifting weights. You don’t want to swing the weight up when doing arm curls or else you won’t get the full effect. “Go big or go home.” Try to do you best or don’t do anything at all. Go all out and do something different that no one else has seen before to make you stand out and unique, or don’t bother at all because you’ll just be like everyone else out there doing the same thing. Jumping off cliffs and parachuting out of airplanes would be some examples of this. Anything extreme, that very few people would do applies to this. “Adjust you end to your means.” Don’t bite off more than you can chew. Know what is in your reach. Don’t make your goals unreachable. Making my daily and long term goals in my reach and possible to accomplish. Losing a certain amount of weight in a certain amount of time that is maintainable would be an example. “Live like you are going to die tomorrow, learn like you are going to live forever.” Live life to your fullest each day because there may not be a tomorrow. Never stop learning because you might live for quite a long time. I try to make each day a good day and one to remember and learn for knowledge to use later in life. An example would be to do things that you want to do everyday and learn something new everyday to help you on later in life. Now I gotta find some pics off the net or from magazines that kinda represent these maxims. So if you got any pics I could use to put on my poster, Feel free to post em up ! Thanks for Reading ! |
