Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 158 | My two favorite bands, who are timeless imo, are Bad Religion and Rancid. Rancid seems to just get better with time, and some of their older stuff from Rancid: Rancid is REALLY good. It's full of so much energy, it lifts me and makes me want to mosh around my room. Bad Religion's music and LYRICS are amazing... I could listen to bad religion all day long and come back for more. Their muic lifts me and makes me want to mosh around the room. Third favorite band GREEN DAY, But not their newer stuff... I am seriously dissappointed in American Idiot, they've completely changed their sound. But If I pop in dookie or insomniac... their music lifts me and makes me want to mosh around my room. Runner up... OFFSPRING. Just not the crap they play on the radio! For some reason the publish offspring's WORST crap on the radio.... Their music is actually awesome on their CDs... and I don't care what they think they are, I am telling them they are Punk. Their music lifts me, and makes me want to mosh around my room. Now if you'll excuse me, Bad Religion is playing on my computer, and I need to mosh around my room. :weird: :weird: :weird:

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 158 | I think bad religion is first wave? That just carried on over? I typically listen to the second wave stuff (The stuff that a lot of people claim isn't punk)... and I despise the current generation of 'punk' (with the exception of rancid, as they seem to get better and better with time). A lot of people seem to be hellbent on saying that real punk music WAS ramones etc, and they refuse to believe that there is indeed another generation of punk bands. The worst arguement is over green day. I believe them to be punk, but maybe only 1 in 10 would agree with me.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 51 | I'm not a huge fan of Punk music, but I always loved The Clash. I guess they qualify as old school punk. As far as the new stuff, I definitely like Green Day and the Offspring.. although I like their 90's stuff better than their newer stuff. Favorite current band would have to be Linkin Park. I like a pretty broad range of music, but I'd have to say I listen to R&B and Hip Hop more than anything. - EME

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 158 | I like a huge variety of music, but for me, punk music definitely comes out on top. It's got a lot of the 'energy' found in hardcore and metal, but the lyrics are usually somewhat deep and meaningful and not screamed ![]() I also like a lot of old school rap, like wu-tang clan, snoop dogg, etc... But punk is :king:
