15(6)^(5X) = 30

equals

5 * X * log (15*6) = log (30)

equals

5 * X * log (15) + log (6) = log (30)

equals

X = log(30/6)/5*log(15)

Just remember the three properties:

Property 1:
logbxy = ylogbx

Property 2:
logb(xy) = logbx + logby

Property 3:
logb(x/y) = logbx - logby

Just wait until Calculus Skel... now that's really fun!

( Actually Cal I and Cal III are easy... it's Cal II that's the mother sucker.... )

Maybe if you're lucky you can stop at Alegra and Trig..

Trig.. now that was a class I liked!

yeah, this is for my pre-calculus class....

something funny happened today. The teacher left early, and I got up in front of my college class, and started TEACHING... lol. My classmates make me feel so smart.

I'm also a math and computer science tutor

I only have two students so far though. One for algebra and one for college algebra. College algebra is for some reason easier

edit: which is all kinda cool, cos I was a highschool dropout.

5x + 3 = 33 ... ... "Uhm, excuse me teacher, you made a typo.. there's a letter in my math problem!!"

Actually.. I lyked physics.. I just never paid attention cause I knew I was never gonna need to know the force of a kid slipping on ice in a wind tunnel whyle attached to a deployed parachute ... Sometymes to entertain ourselves on road tryps, my friends and I try to come up with stupid physics problems.. We're weird..

Personally I thought calc was much easier than pre-cal. But everyone is different and I know people who strongly disagreed with me on that.
