Keith Olbermann going off on Hilary's campaign

I think Keith is dead on with pretty much everything he says about Hilary...I actually had almost the same conversation at work with someone who's an ardent Hilary supporter. But that of course just made me sexist I guess.

If she does end up getting the nomination through super delegate trickery or MI/FL votes counting even though 1) she agreed with the DNC way back when not to campaign there (even though she did in FL anyways) and 2) Obama wasnt even on the ballot in FL, I dont think I could vote for her.

Actually with the Rove-like tactics she's been using, I wont.

So I'm really not sure where you and your friend are getting information from.

1) she held 2 fundraisers in FL a month before their primary. does that count as campaigning? I dont know, but none of the other candidates were in FL in that time frame.

Also my friend didn't have anything to do with my information, she's a gung-ho Hilary supporter who thinks I'm sexist because I think her campaign engages in dirty politics.

also in reference to that video...the reason Keith prefaces so much before going off is that Hilary has been a big support to him, and some would say even helped him land his job. and he's always supported her as well, so for him to call her & her campaign out makes a pretty big point I think.

sorry for bumping the thread again but just came across this gem...

From Hilary's interview on NPR this morning, when asked about her position that the delegates from MI should go to her:

Wasn't it the Democratic Party's choice that it would not be a result that be counted and most people took their names off the ballot?

But we all had a choice as to whether or not to participate in what was going to be a primary. And most people took their names off the ballot, but I didn't. And I think that was a wise decision because Michigan is key to our electoral victory in the fall. And I think if there is to be any difference between my proposal that we count those votes and any other course of action, it should be a complete redo of the primary. Nothing else is fair and I feel strongly about that."

So because Obama abided by the rules of the DNC she gets MI? I dont think so...also if she only got 55% and all she was running against was "non-commited" she should rethink how much support she actually has there.

Regardless, I don't think the delegates of either state should count. I'm horrendously upset at Howard Dean for going along with this. The party is splitting its self right down the middle.

not being controversial at all, I'm just really disappointed in the way Hilary's campaign has conducted things. Especially the last month, against a fellow democrat....whatever ends up happening, this is hurting the renewed energy democratic voters have been showing across the country. And for the "progressive" party to be using race & gender against one another is mind numbing to me.

I dont think it's really Howard Deans fault...MI & FL decided to break the rules of the DNC, hence their votes didnt count. I feel bad for the voters who's voices wont be heard, but their elected officials made this decision and now should abide by it.

kind of a curious questions but how do you conservative types feel about McCain?

I think in terms of military and warfare he's obviously the most experienced, but fiscally & socially his voting record is pretty similar to Hilary's.
