I love war movies. Do you guys think this will be a good one? Black Hawk down was the last really good one over the last few years.

I read on the cover of entertainment magazine: "No combat. No polotics. And a naked marine in a Santa Claus hat. What kind of movie is this?"

just saw it and i was disappointed...it was ok. not a war movie classic if thats what your looking for.

I heard it's more of a look at a soldier's experience during the war, and it's based on the book. It will not be like Black Hawk Down if that's what you're looking for.

The commercials make it look like Full Metal Jacket (action packed, violence, brutality of war, etc.). Its def. not that. A soldiers experience as a Marine. Its still had its moments a solid film but I could have waited for rental (I am tough on movies). I get the message they are sending. If you have nothing going on check it out. Some cool scences from Iraq at least. "hurry up and wait"
