Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 43 | They are fast, they are aggressive and Slayer sounds pissed the **** off. Lombardo's drumming is probably the highlight of these tracks. I'm not happy with production as Araya's vocals aren't that good, and are too loud in the mix. Most of the riffage has a modern sound to it, there are a few headbangable riffs that could easily be used in Speed or Death Metal tracks. Hanneman and King give you more of those Solos that made Slayer famous. ie King's whammy wah-wah solos, and Hannemans shredding, you can just tell its Slayer playing when you hear these solos. It isn't the old Speed/Thrash/Proto-Death style of Metal from Reign in Blood or Hell Awaits. It sounds somewhat like Divine Intervention era Slayer, with more Speed and Brutality and a modern sound, and possibly a SMALL hardcore influence (stop-start tempo in some riffs, as well as a "breakdown" in the track Cult). If I had to compare this to other Slayer albums, I'd say it sounds like Divine Intervention with more speed and brutality and better drumming - You can thank Mr Lombardo for that.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 668 | haha "ironmass exclusive" anyway, I for one am definitly not pissing away money to these guys anymore. After the abomination that was known as .. *sigh* God Hates Us All, i'm never giving money to Slayer again. I heard one of the songs, and despite not being able to judge from just one song, I thought the song was terrible. The only thrash bands i'll still buy NEW albums from these days are: Fastkill Sauron Nocturnal Nocturnal Fear Sacred Reich Wolfen Reich Tandus Exodus Agh, I have to go now but i'll edit and post the rest later. At school now but will post when I have a chance at home. |

Other thrash bands i'll buy NEW albums of:Skitzo Incinerator Barbatos Kings Evil Beast Petrify Raped God Zubirun Terror Squad Grim Force Wounds Break the Silence Hirax Witchburner Narcotic Greed Ferscape The Nomads Stagnant Soiltary Cut Throat Random Violence Incriminated Wasteland Violator Sadly probably none of you have had the pleasure of listening to more than 4-5 of those bands that I listed, if that.. I hate to sound like an elitist here or something, but those are all seriously underground bands and none of them are from like the states or england or anything. They mostly all have a teutonic thrash sound to them, and they are all amazing amazing bands. Though of course a few aren't underground, those would be Exodus and Sacred Reich. The only two known thrash bands to this day that I will still support. EDIT: OH SNAP! And Dark Angel! If they ever produce anything in the future i'll surely get that, and pray that it is as amazing as Darkness Descends. MAN 1986 was a good ass year. And i'll support Sodom/Destruction as well, kind of forgot about them somehow. Got my mind on Maylasian bands and junk. | |

I don't like number ratings, but it is easier than posting a 500 word essay. So I'll make an exception this one time... Chosen one, are you name-dropping again? ![]()

-Me (commenting on an album and/or track you had sent me): You seem to only like stuff with terrible production quality -You: Production quality doesn't matter -Me: I guess, but not when it sounds like someone is crumpling paper in the background -You: Like Moonblood *Converstation shifts to discussiong as to why Moonblood release their albums on Vynil to be "kvlt" as you put it. This really doesn't have to do with anything, I just like rustling your feathers.
