Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 50 | High speed car accident. Average Joe is 150lbs @ 15% bodyfat. Handsome DJohnson is 200lbs @ 8% bodyfat. They are both driving the same car: 1985 Toyota Corolla. With the exception that DJohnson's paint job is one of those old "flames" hot rod style paint jobs. High speed collision at 50mph head on. What would you rate the chances of each participants survival?

| Mushroom Cloud Laying.... | I did read where a former competitive bodybuilder in his 60's took on a robber with a knife, held his own even after getting stabbed in the chest, they said that he survived based on the chest mass he had, even in his 60's. I wish I could find the article.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 50 | A few months back there was a bouncer at a nearby club who was also a competive bodybuilder. Some guy stabbed him with a knife but his ab muscles were so dense the knife couldn't make it all the way through. ![]()

| Pro Stature | An obese person probably has a better chance than both of them. (Granted they can get the fat ass out of the smashed up car. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 75 | well actually muscle had the opposite effect on me when i got into an accident. whe i crashed my motorcycle (actually just put it down) i landed on my left side pushing my shoulder into my body dislocating it and braking the shoulder blade. when i got to the docs and they were putting it back it they sad i had a lot of damage to the muscle due to there being a lot of it (obviously). plus when they were putting it back into place (before they knew i broke my shoulder blade... yeah) it was hard with a lot of muscle around there, more mass to move i guess, didn't really feel like asking the doctors for an explaination at the time. plus more muscle to heal after everything is said and done. but i dont know if i didn't have that muscle on my arms and shoulder that i could have broken more bones and done more damage. so i think it both helps and hurts, but helps more then hurts. pros > cons
