I went horseback riding today

For my "outdoor activities" class at college. It was my first time ever riding a horse.... I was always a city slicker, so horse back riding is "out there" for me!!

I was nervous at first, the horses were smelly and scary looking. One girl even said a horse bit her once! But I mounted the horse despite my fears. It actually wasn't too bad. We rode horses all around a trail in the woods and along some dirt road. It was actually kind of fun, especially when we made them run.

Yeah, so today in school I learned how to ride a horse. What did YOU learn today?

(and yes, I was a bit bull legged when I got off, and my hammies are feeling a little stretched out)

It's fun. I like doing it, I rode a horse for the 2nd time when I was about 15-16 and we did a trail ride when all the sudden the horses in front of me went into a yellow jacket's nest and they scattered everywhere. All the sudden my horse and me got stung many times! All the sudden it started doing bronco stuff and I was hanging on for dear life when we started galloping off the trail and almost into trees. Finally the horse stopped, and I only got stug 1 or 2 times. I felt bad for the horse.

I have not ridden a horse in a long time and I was not the biggest fan of it when I did. It was just a little too boring for me.

yeah, it is kind of boring. You just sit there, lol. But since I'm a city boy who's never done it before.... it had "magic" to it. Oh yeah, I've been telling everyone I'm a cowboy now

If you have the time, head on down to Mongolia for a week or so of riding. The land there is almost made for horseback riding..nothing but wide open plains. Then you can go back and tell everyone that you're Genghis Khan.

I rode a horse once.....my inner thighs were literally sore for about a month. Nothing in the gym replicates that feeling of having to squeeze your legs together for so long.

I tried riding a horse once, I was so excited! :hyper2: Then the horse just sat there.....and sat there....and basically never moved. Stupid horse.

lol..that reminds me of the rapist that was going around here tying the horses tails to the fence then climbing a short ladder and getting it on with the horses. Never caught the guy and it hasn't happened again since Ihateveryone went back to Austrailia. :fingersxd
