Hurricane Katrina

Wow, that hurricane is huge now. Seems to cover the whole gulf of mexico. Rumor is there isn't going to be a New Orleans tomorrow morning. Probably going to go down in history if the whole state floods since it's under water level.

Superdome is going to be destroyed tomorrow too.

Last I heard it was 175 mph sustained winds. This is like the 100 year storm.

Hahaha... I can't laugh, but that's not close..

I gotta home in Jacksonville, FL ... and it looks lyke it's in the middle of Houston & Jacksonville... The image I linked to from the Weather Channel updates itself... When I posted the image, Katrina was farther away from the coast.. ryght now she's ryght on top of it... :eek2:

My bad.. as I was sayin'... That's not really close... now Mobile, New Orleans, Jackson & Panama City ... ... that's whatcha call close!! ... In fact, I used to never watch the weather channel when I started driving my truck... My trainer used to tell me about it all the tyme... U better watch the news!!! ... Hahaha... That changed the day I drove straight into some tropical storm... I was dryving and thought it was just raining really really hard.. hahaha...

new info on the superdome...there are now 2 holes in the roof and rain is coming in getting people wet...theres about 9,000 people in there being sheltered and now they have to worry if the roof is going to cave in on them...scarey!

from what i hear its pretty bad....they are saying it might be weeks before anyone can get back to their homes....

The Govenor of Louisianna is speaking live right now...they are trying to prepare to send out search and rescue teams to get to people who stayed behind and are now in serious jeapardy...they are urging everyone to stay where they are in their shelters, obviously...not to try to re-enter any areas...that there are parishes that are completely under water....the storm has almost passed through now, but they have to send in teams to assess the safety of the elevated roads etc etc...

NewOrleans is Like a big bowl benieth sea level, they were afraid the 'bowl' was going to fill with sea water, but it looks like it hasn't (thank God).
