I want to use a GIF file that I made in Photoshop Imageready...When I try to upload, it says can not upload animated files, but sometimes I see people here with avatars that change pictures? How do they do that?

Cool avy! You can upload gifs but they have to be smaller then 19kb's I believe. Yours is pushing 300. If you can shrink it down you might be able to do it.

No, that's not why it won't work. Look at this one's size and it still won't work.

That one is still 97KB which is 78KB's too big. Also it's 100x150pixels and it has to be max 99x99pixels. Both have to be within the limit

Photoshop is a good one. I have a cheap free one I use but one day I should dl photoshop and learn it since it's the best out there.

I have Photoshop, but when I open the image it says it can only display one frame

Oh you want to do a .gif. I'm not sure if PS can do that but this site will allow you to resize GIF files for free..

Photoshop or you use ImageReady? I use Photoshop to resize images then Imageready to make the slides (frames) then optimize it as a .gif file.

That's what mine says also. And with that program, how do I change the file size?

Nope you can definately post's gif's still. Look at my avy, I just put one up. To change the size so it fits go to that site I posted and shrink it down to 19KB. That's the max size you can post.

OK here you go! It's small but unless you want to reduce the quality of the frames it's as big as you can go. Just copy the pic to your hd and plop it in. It's good to go.

Ok thanks, but I think I'm gonna just have an image because the .gif that I make and the ones that you posted are great, but too small, so I'm just gonna have a picture. Thank though for the help. :nosthumbs
