my dads old Toyota pickup had 300grand on the motor, and the frame rusted out. So my dad and one of our cousins welded plates to it (highly illegal btw) and ran it for another year and then sold it when we couldn't do anything. Engine had about, 320grand or so. Guy towed it away and the frame fell in half, and the engine fell out and got ruined. It would still be running today if it wasn't for that.

I bashed mine into a guardrail. It still ran just fine, it was 10 years old, but they totaled it because the entire rear of the car needed replaced. That'll be three years ago next week.
