Curiousity that killed the cat

I love how his books just tell me the plain obvious, yet I still refuse to put his teachings into practice because of my own fears. Has anyone gotten around their fears enough to make a meaningful change in their social lives?

I have. It didn't take a book or anything I just started trying to get over my fear of meeting new people. It takes a while and I still get nervous but I have a lot more fun when I just go out and face my fear.
