i dont speak it exceptionally, but i understand it when its spoken to me. my grandmother (who i lived with before i moved to college) wrote it out for me, and she was born and grew up in germany, and speaks/writes it fluently.

also, i know what you are talking about. you beleive that "bein" should be "bin". technically, you are right, becuase that is the widely accepted/used version of it. but "bein" is how it is spelled in smaller places inside germany. and this is how it was spelled in the place of my ancestors origin. i had it written this was as sort of a tribute to my ancestors.

it took about 2.5 hours and cost $280, but i got it done by one of the top 5 tattoo artists in Las Vegas. (it wouldnt have taken as long, but he had to keep going over the I in "Ich" because it was not holding color the way he wanted) but this price also includes me going back for him to re-do the entire tattoo around june to make sure the color is exceptional and everything is perfect.
