Ok Halloween is approaching. I know a lot of people who have had unexplained things happen to them. Lets hear some of your real life ghost stories...

Ok, as a few of you guys know, I live near a road named "Shades of Death." A few Halloweens ago (bout 3-4 years ago) me and a few friends went up their, and we pulled off the road near Ghost Lake. Well, our Suburban shut off all of a sudden and we saw a little girl in a white dress running through the woods up top of the ridge. As she approached the ridge, she didnt slow down, we saw her look behind her, and JUMP. We tried to get the car started and after about 5 tries it did, and we sped away.

Well mine is very simple and no one believes me(much like any other ghost story). It happened at my house, I was 11 and my sister was 13. We went out of our rooms and walked together to my mother's room, where my youngest sister(0) was sleeping at that time. When we walked passed the stairs to the kitchen, we both turned immediately and saw a ghostly green figure seemingly walking up the stairs. We both screamed and jumped and sprinted to my mother's room and stayed there the whole night.

The thing that really convinces me is that we BOTH saw it, BOTH saw the same thing.

its true

and when i went back last week, i ran into a bear on lenape lane. it was just standing in the lane, staring at me, not moving. like to block me from going further.

then i went 3 miles down the road @ 40mph and went to ghost lake. went down the trail and the SAME bear was there standing in my path.

i left immediatly.

I'd imagine thats pretty simple...Skel likes little girls...so he wanted to stand in the road so that romanaz couldn't watch them jump off cliffs...:confused2:

Mine is also pretty simple. I was sleeping in my downstairs bedroom during high school...1 door, locks only from the inside, and no windows. I was alseep and I feel weight on the bed, like someone just put a book down near my feet. I chalk it up to me dreaming and continue snoozing away. Then the weight disappears...confused, I choose to ignore it and go back to sleep. No more than 15 seconds after the first weight disappeared, I feel the bed shift as though someone was sitting down on it immediately behind me(I was facing the wall). At this point I'm wide awake and scared shitless. I keep my eyes screwed shut(like that will protect me)...and then after a minute or so, the weight disappears again. Puzzled, I peep out of one eye to discoved that the room is still blanketed in the stygian darkness that consumes it when I switch off the lights. I finally pluck up the courage to reach over and turn on my reading lamp, which is clamped to the headboard of my bed. Everything looks exactly how it did when I went to sleep. Weird, I think to myself. Breathing a sigh of relief, I get up to go to the bathroom...and discover that my door is locked...and it was unlocked when I went to bed.

Thoroughly freaked out, I run upstairs and wake up both of my parents...Mom seemed to think I was either drunk or high, and Dad kept saying "i knew this house was haunted!"

I have experienced a few things that I can not explain. the two scariest were.

1. I was around 14 at the time.. I just walked home from school, and opened the door to my house, I take two steps in, and I hear an extreemly loud sound, It sounded like someone had picked up a heavy dresser, and slammed it to the ground... after the loud bang I heard the sound of like game pieces rolling across the floor.. it was so loud I felt the floor shake. I thought a burgaler was in the house, and had knocked over my brothers toy cabinet. which was big, and heavy.. So I turned around and ran out the door.. My neighbor was out in his driveway washing his car, I told him what happened so he grabbed a bat out of his car, and came right over.. So me, and him went back into the house, not 1 minute after hearing the sound, and nothing was out of place, and nobody was in the house...

I will tell you about the other thing later...

second thing that happened to me..

when I was around 15 years old... one morning I woke up and didn't feel like going to school, so I decided I was going to play sick...
so instead of getting out of bed I waited for my mother to come and wake me up.... "I was up I just pretended I was asleep when she came in my room" then I told her I had a bad headache and didn't feel good.... and asked her if she could call in for me and tell the school I would be absent....
which she did.... I waited there in bed while she did her morning routine getting ready for work.... wide awake... I couldn't wait to get out of bed and eat something...... anyway she came to my room and said " I am going into work now. I hope you feel better. call me if you need anything"... I said ok I'll talk to you later... anyway as soon as the door closed when she left I felt like a hand start sliding side to side over my feet... from above my sheets.... I could feel it and hear the swishing noise.... at first I pulled the sheets over my head thinking it would stop, but it happened for about 15 seconds... at which point I said to myself... ok it has to be my brother.. messing around with me.... so I quckly jumped out of bed fully expecting to see my brother there...... and I have to admit I was terrified when I saw nobody there...
I ran into my brightly lit living room where my dog was.. a 110lb german shepard... and took her with me back into the room to investigate... still thinking my brother had to be hiding on the other side of my bed....and there was nobody in my house... and there is no way anyone could have gotten out without me knowing....
I refused to sleep in my room for about 1 year after that happened... and slept on the couch....
