Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 61 | Where's your power supply? One thing I've learned the hard way is to never skimp on the power supply... it's not a fun component to spend more on, but a good one with over-voltage protection will keep your puter from becoming toast. Oops just saw it... my bad. Looks good.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 158 | 650w coolmax You get a discount when you buy it with the mobo (save $30!)A couple of guys complained about it not being strong enough for their SLI, but from what I understand 500w is the minimum so I'm guessing they had more than just the high end gpus. The gpus are certainly not high end, but I think they will do some SERIOUS damage paired up ![]() You think I could turn around and sell this beast for like 1700?

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 158 | I am freaking drooling about this computer... I think for 1200 bucks that is a **** of a system........ and I do mean a **** of a system. I'll yank my 20gig hd out of my old computer and use it for back ups. Then I'll leave the ooold 5 gig in there, reformat it with windoze, install a proper wireless card, and give it to my mommy as an early christmas present ![]() I am so pissed off, i forgot today is a holiday, so i can't get money into the bank until..... MONDAY.... ![]() but it's okay, cos i should be taking my time double checking everything anyway.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 220 | looks good skel. i'm glad you are going with the Intel CPU as well as that beefy PSU...with those video cards and that CPU you need at least 500 watts to run it.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 158 | I'm having cold feet. I got rid of the dual cards and got just one really good one (512mb 7950GT), I also put another 5 towards the hard drive and got an 80gig with a 8mb cache All together this shit is gonna be 1200 with shipping, but not including the ~50 in rebates. You think this computer is worth the money? That's a lot of money....

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 220 | definitely worth the money. a machine like this would be 2k at least from Dell, and they'd use shittier components than you got.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 7 | looks good I would just keep your old video card for now. Get the Nvidia 8800 series. They are supposed to come out with a BUNCH of new cards based on the new architecture next February. So far has been getting kick-ass reviews. So the 7950 will be a possible waste of money till then. I know new cards come out so often but if your gonna go top I would go with the mid-range edition of the newest architecture not the one that has been out for year. 7950 was only a dumbshrink I believe over the 7900.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 50 | Stick with a single card. My bro is running OC SLI and we're not impressed at all. You get much better overall performance and future compatibility with a single card that costs twice as much.

SLI's boost is not anywhere near the 'double' it should theoretically be. Crossfire is closer, with ~65-70%, whereas SLI is in the 30% range.
