Final Opinions on my gaming rig I'm about to build, pleeeeease - Page 3

Dark Massiah: Might and magic is proving to be one hell of a game so far...Even on my old rig. It would probably be stunning on yours.

I've had my eye on that game for a while now, and I know it'd run well because it's the source engine. The only thing keeping me from buying it is the fact I have a zillion games already to play

I still have to install Fear... lol.

Fear actually doesn't hold my attention for some reason. While it's certainly weird/creepy, it doesn't quite "suck me in" like the half life, quake, and doom series did. It reminds me of that one game (I forget the name, but it had "bullet time" which slowed everything down EXACTLY like this game) just with a much prettier engine (which looks a lot like the source engine imo). I'll probably end up beating it eventually though

Anyway, the reason I'm posting...

OMFG GOOD THING I BUILT THAT NEW PC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I "refurbished" my old pc: cleaned it out, stuck in a wireless card, and did a fresh install of xp pro. I JUST got done installing all the software and say "Here you go mom, check out your new computer". She sits down, checks 2 of her emails, and BLIP. The power supply over heats and the computer dies......

.................................................. .......

Now when I start the tower everything comes on but it doesn't post...... that's not good.

yea I did, CES Vegas shootout. won a shirt. my goal in life is to fit in the shirt. Its so tiny!

but yeah, some dude who placed Top 5 CPL for Q4 was there and actually beat fatalitly one of the days. Good match up.

That is crazy bro. I play with my clan and sometimes match up against CAL Mid guys and they crush us. And we're pretty good. I cannot imagine what CPL guys play like. They should put those tournaments on HLTV for everyone to see. I'd be watching.

BTW skelooth, that new computer of yours sucks ass big time. You should get rid of it and build a new one. Send it to me, it'll be a perfect firewall for my real PC.

you know, you're right. The fact that i'm getting less than 60fps in fear on maxed out settings is pathetic. This computer is barely worth 10 bucks. Just tell me where to send it.

CAL-M for CS?

My CS team just made CAL-im, but i'm not really active. I'll end up playing a few matchs and speccing/shoutcasting a few, but thats it really. And yeah, CAL-M guys are pretty good, but its gotten worse in the last few seasons.
