Default Damn expensive gaming LCD

I have a dead pixel just to the right and down of center. I'm pissed. I spent ~$300 on this thing and the warranty was only for a month or two.

Thats what you get for using an LCD for gaming imo. CRT all the way for games, response time and refresh rate are head and shoulders above LCD's.

That being said, what a pain in the ass...what brand did you buy? I've been really happy with my pair of HP LP2065's, both for poker and Dota.

I have a Viewsonic 19" with 2ms response time and high contrast. The picture quality is awesome and I love it very much

I did some research, and it turns out I think I have a "stuck" pixel, not a dead one, so I am trying different methods of fixing it

frustration levels... rising. It's stuck on blue. I've tried two methods that don't seem to work. I've read sometimes it can fix it's self.... I wonder.

lol actually one of the methods is similiar. You turn off the computer then apply pressure to the spot while you turn it back on. It's called a "pixel massage". The other method involves rapidly changing the color of the pixel using a simple program.

I <3 my Samsung 225BW ... way better reviews than anything else, Consumer choice x2 at Newegg. Big as hell, makes my 17" next to it look like crap and it's a top end Sony from ~2 years back.

I love looking around the room at stuff in the pics people post online.
In addition to the TVs, there is a globe that looks like it was the one in TJ Maxx, some faux Polynesian sculpture thing on the wall, a bottle of Cruzan rum on the mantle, and a glass-top table in the foreground.

Not sure what type of PC that is, or what type of chair, but that bar stool looks semi-quality, and there is a leather couch on the side.

Well, the kid is 22 and has been winning about $1 million/month playing poker online this past year so I'm sure he's not quite figured out how to spend all of it properly.

I also love my 225BW. <3

As far as I know no dead pixels, but I'd never run one of those programs that helps you check for dead pixels though. I don't even wanna know if I do...

If you had a dead pixel, you'd know. It just a pixel that never changes color. My dead pixel is blue, so when ever the screen is dark I have see this stupid blue speck.

I FIXED IT! I FIXED IT!!!

Everyone once in a while I wipe my screen down with a computer cleaning wipe, and there was some sludge next to the dead pixel.... as I was rubbing the sludge the pixel unstuck it's self!!! I had to massage it a little more after cos it kept going back to blue, but now it's FINE again!!!!

My 19" flat CRT died on me a week or two back, bought a new 22" widescreen LCD.

Bottom center doesnt exactly have a dead pixel, but its like the screen was pressed on in the box, so now there is a 1" round area thats off color some
