Converting .vob files from the hard drive?

I downloaded some video torrents and there in .vob. It's not the .vob files straight from a DVD. How do I convert these to divx or something or atleast be able to view them. Media player and WinDVD which are the ones recommended don't work.

After that, what do I do? It still doesn't open with Media Player or WinDVD.

You can burn them, & watch it on ANY dvd player. It's better, then watching on the computer.
