The XP theme doesn't look bad in silver like that :yes: I can't stand the blue XP theme. It's so ... cumbersome.

I hate the blue, the olive isn't bad. Silver is slick.

Im acutally quite sick of everything Windows. I see a Mac in my near future at home.

I don't think most people realize, Linux is hands down the prettiest/best looking operating system..... mostly because it's so configurable. You have your choice of window managers (icewm, kde, gnome, etc) then those are completely configureable.

After the learning curve I'm convinced I will never go back to windows. MacOS is very similiar but cost money

I dont want to learn something new, but I've alwasy heard rave things about linux.

I KNOW that Mac's are the best fo graphic editing and such, which is what my "free time" at home is spent doing (or playing with the kids or passed out)

yeah, mac has always been built from the ground up with graphics in mind. Moving to linux means giving up a lot of commercial software like photoshop.

However I think we are moving towards a standard processor architecture (x86.... mac is moving to intel based OSs).... which means ASM code will suddenly become 'cross platform'.... leading to *hopefully* cross platform C compilers. We'll see how it turns out

depends on the OS and window manager

in windows you press print screen, then ctrl+v (paste) into a ms paint document

Lol, at the end of the school year I finally configured my school linux account to have a custom desktop. Now instead of this disgusting green/brown desktop like everyone else has, everytime I log into a computer I have a hot picture of Jessica Alba with a nice taskbar and awesome looking windows/console.

My home desktop is just a Win XP Silver with Tara Reid background with 100 icons on it. Rather not let everyone know which app icons I have pirated (because I don't have the apps themselves, that'd be illegal!).

I concur. One of my most satisfying achievements was getting my WinDoze box to dual-boot to Linux. (Something I'm sure you can do with one hand tied behind your back while the other hand is holding a jar of fluff.

A computer nerd, you are most certainly not. All you have to do is press the "print screen" button on your keyboard... it'll copy a picture of your desktop to your clipboard... then you just paste it into whatever imaging app you'd like.
