Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 158 | Underneath my 97 station wagon, towards the front... there is a piece of metal just hanging down. It's just a flat piece of metal, it look like maybe it was just a guard of some sorts for the thingy that was behind it. It's directly in the center. I don't know wtf it is, and I am flat broke and need to use my car a lot... I have two jobs but won't get paid for at least another month b/c of the pay cycles etc.... I could like take a pic or something tomorrow morning or something if that would help.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 0 | looks like just a metal shroud no big deal could have been covering part of your break lines or maybe gas lines it is hard to tell. I say just as long as your car runs/stops your good ![]() |

| Going Pro BBer in '08-'09 | '90s Hondas all had a shield where the exhaust pipes from the engine met the actual exhaust pipe that leads to the tailpipe. The idea is that this part is pretty hot and the welding tends to be eaten away too easily if it isn't shielded. After the first one fell off, people didn't replace them. Of course the exhaust system had to be resoldered in place more often. I think this may be such a guard-thing. No biggie at all.
