Default Career choices...

Im just wondering what you guys think would be the best career choices to go along with bodybuilding...besides being a pro. I'm looking for very specific answers, not just PT or dietician...be specific, really specific. This might help decide what I'm going to study in college...

Thanks in advance to anybody who can help me! I really appreciate it!

I have to tell you this weighs on my mind a ton too...My career path would lead me to be an airline pilot/corporate pilot...these people spend 100's of nights in a hotel, imagine what it would be like to try workout and get your nutrition right with that schedule!!!! im looking at other avenues of the industry because i just cant see myself living that kind of lifestyle...
I guess you could say office/deskjobs are bodybuilder friendly, u can eat all your meals and recover due to reduced manual labor....
there is not a lot of money in being a dietician, a personal trainer, strength coach or most of those things....Maybe you could work for a supplement company? study biochem etc....become a lawyer for a supp. company?

honestly, my ideal job would be to own several franchise gyms, invest some money in different assets, compete in BB , marry a fitness competitor and have little bodybuilder kids
Nice future plans id like something like that myself too...
But right now my plans are to become a nutritionist, and just live a normal life while BBing

btw nice sig LOL

It doesn't necessarily have to be a sedentary job like behind a desk or something. I'll always find time to eat and lift. It doesn't have to pertain to bodybuilding but I would like it to be in a related health field. I was thinking something like a clinical exercise physiologist. Something lab related or research related maybe. Do those kinds of jobs pay well in the long run?

I used to do a manual job, now im behind a desk. My bodyweight shot up the moment i got that job and stopped smoking, on the brightside thats the reason i stopped and started getting into lifting.

Stay away from this field. I went to Uni studying nutrition, health and exercise science- it was the most boring and dull crap I had ever done in my life, I quit after 1 month.

Which class in particular motivated you to quit? I'm thinking that if you were only going for a month you hadn't even had any on the upper-level courses that are actually the interesting part of the major. (I'm assuming that Uni means a 4-yr university?) What school were you attending?

Typically the first two years of any degree program is boring because it's about 60 credits of general education stuff. This is the one I have been browsing over. http://www.csulb.edu/depts/kpe/

I was attending school in England. It was a 3 year course - 99% of these people who attend these sort of studies dont give two craps about weightlifting. Half the people in my class were overweight. Dude that link you posted with what you would be studying seems really boring and it probably is.

If you're looking more into a business related job with sports nutrition companies or managing gyms or fitness centers, marketing would be good, or a degree in operations management would be good.
