Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 60 | Ford hasn't made a diesel pickup without a turbo for quite some time. I believe 1994 was the last time. FYI a 4" exhaust is good up until about 450HP at the rear wheels on that engine. If you get a 5" you won't get any performance gains unless you get above that point and your powerband will move UP in RPM. If you decide to get a chip or tuner, make sure you get a pyrometer and mount the probe in the exhaust manifold. You'll also need a boost gauge (because of course you want to "adjust" the wastegate on the turbo ) and a transmission gauge wouldn't be a bad idea. If you want to add about 100HP to the rear wheels and improve fuel economy at the same time get propane injection. I'm considering doing that to mine. DO NOT put a K&N air filter on a turbo diesel, you will dust the engine. If you end up getting one get the intake from this company: http://www.tymarperformance.com/ Website is not up and running, but they are the best available intakes for that engine that ALSO keep dust out. |

| Soldier In Progress | The propane looks awesome and I had ideas of doing it but pretty touchy science to keep burning temperatures in intake around 600 degrees though. Pyro, tranny and boost I plan to add if I find a decent location! ![]() Probally get a chip or a tuner to play with settings for HP/Torque/MPG settings. I wanna be able to get 20+ in city, I've seen people around 24-26 in city before :eek2:

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 60 | Don't put a chip or tuner in without those gauges and an aftermarket intake (the one I mentioned earlier ). If the temps get too high, not only will the turbo get ruined but parts of the engine will start to melt. Before you get to play you need to make those mods. The temps can climb real quick on those engines with extra fuel, and cheap chips and tuners tend to burn hot. |

| Soldier In Progress | Just for y'all to know, I've got a Pro-Street style 68 Camaro sitting in my garage. I just need to get my dad to title the pinkslip for me ![]() If I get some money somehow, I'm gonna buy a 68 Camaro that's in town and needs a LOT of work but it's a solid frame + body. Trunk is solid but floor needs replacing. Streeeeeet that baby out, $10-15k worth of work haulin' around 600HP. I'm dreaming, again.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 5 | I own 3 trucks. An F-250 diesel 130,000 miles. My personal truck. I have had no trouble with it and pull some serious loads with it. Was so happy with it I bought the wife a 2002 f-350 lariate, its a bit cushier than I like but still an awesome truck. I also have a 2003 chevy HD2500 that is a multi use vehicle, company and kids drive it. Has a 350. I like all three of them. Here's link I did about trucks at bb.com the first three pictures are of my trucks. Take a look http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...ight=4x4+truck

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 15 | Alot of ford guys here... Its too bad GM doesn't offer a straight axle on their HD trucks, cause I still like Chevy. Gas was $2.56 a gallon today, I might just trade in my old 1500 for a Toyota Prius.
