Best Ways to Break Out Of "Shy Mode"

i get really shy when talking to any new person, especially girls. is there a way to break out of this state of shyness?

Just say anything to them to get a conversation rolling. Don't be worried about embarassing yourself because you probably wont ever see them again anyways or they will forget about it. You wont have any sucess unless you try. Seriously you have nothing to lose unless it is somebody you will see everyday for the rest of your life or something like that.

im generally a shy person, and since the events that have taken place recently, i tend not to trust any female. i been thinking about trying to break out of a 'shy mode' im in too, but i havent been to sure how to yet either, so dont feel alone on this subject MOP.

I assume you are a teen as I am. Just approach the female and talk to her. Try to do it when her friends are not around. Do not worry about what happens. She could be shy just like you and actually just needs some to start the conversation first. Do not go through school being the shy guy, one day I woke up and said I wanted a change so I just started talking to everyone. Just remember don't worry if the girl go crazy or anything at least you tried.

Ive had that and still have some of it

As someone said above, try talking with the girls like if they are normal friends.
It takes some time but after a while you get used to it. Try talking with girls outside school - you might be afraid of talking with girls from school because you know if you screw up you will make a shame out of yourself, but if its someone you wont meet again in your life you dont really care

However my first problem when I started going out with chicks was that I was too kind and I never got to do what I wanted, only what they wanted so keep that in mind too

If you are even shy to meet other guys just think that they are idiots and not any gangster or anything, think that they are stupid idiots, do anything that takes away the fear of saying anything stupid or anything they might not like.

sfiximo, the part where you said at first, you only got to do what they wanted to do, i think i know what to do in those situations. sometimes you do what they wanna do and sometimes you do what you wanna do, right?

I think like this: We do what we both want. If we do something that only one of us likes then we should do something after that (something the other wants) to make it even

Just stop being shy put yourself into situations where you do not know anyone. And where you are not likely to see any of them again and let go of yourself. As your confidence builds up start acting that way all of the time... the only thing hold you back is... you.

I did that and now 5 months later I have touched girl butt for the first time! I couldnt be happier!

Being of the female gender.. I tend to agree that sometimes we are over rated.. there are some girls that are so not worth your time.. but there are a few that are worth it... it might take some time to find that one.. but when you do you will actually appreciate the time spent looking..

My best advice about getting over being shy is if there is a certain girl.. that you kind of like but dont know really well.. just kind of run into her somewhere and start talkin.. you might actually be amazed at the reaction.. and yes there might be some rejection.. but you just have to realize that it happens to everyone at some point.. and you have to try again.. and dont worry so much about embarrassing yourself.. because some of the things that you think are embarrassing us girls find kind of cute.. so just have some confidence in yourself.. and you will be just fine..
