I say just go tanning. I used to be against indoor tanning due to the media depiction and general concensus that it causes skin cancer, but then I did my research on the subject (I work in the cancer research field) and there's no reliable scientific data linking indoor tanning with increased risk of cancer. There are some epidemiology studies from Europe that show a possible link, but the tanning industry in Europe is completely unregulated. Epidemiology studies are extremely difficult to derive meaningful data from. In the US, the FDA regulates the tanning industry, albeit rather loosely, but if you join a reputable salon, they will adhere to the FDA guidelines for safe exposure. UVA light exposure (UVA being the primary wavelength of ultraviolet light emitted by modern tanning bulbls) has actually been found to be incapable of initiating cancer in experimental models of melanoma. UVB light is definitively linked to melanoma and this is why sunlight exposure should be minimized. I would never say that UVA exposure poses zero risk, but from all the data I've seen, if you go out in the sun at all, even with sunblock, you are taking a much bigger risk. Childhood sun exposure, and the severity of childhood sunburns, is the biggest factor to consider when assessing someone's risk of developing skin cancer.

LMAO! Good analogy. Your best bet's are the sunless tanners that build up over multiple applications. That way you control the level of color you add.

thanks for the info it was much easier to tan when i lived with my mom (fitnfirm) only because we have a tanning bed but i guess 30 bucks a month at a reputable salon isnt that bad at all so ill look into it. Now the thing is finding some products that will help me tan as well as i can. I always used just faces for my face, sometimes white lightning on the rest of my body. Kinda forgot what else i used. If you know any products that are worth the while i will give em a try. Thanks both of ya for your opinions

I find TanTowels work great. It's not a die or anything it actually reacts with the proteins in your skin to create a pretty natural color. You can go over a spot 10x while applying and it won't be any darker than a spot you went over 1x. Just don't miss any spots or they'll still be white.

Now that I'm not working at home anymore I'll be tanning in a salon again though.
