Heres a little ranting i did on myspace i wanna see the mixed emotions on some subjects i discussed

Im here to rant.
Over the history of human kind i believe the last few generations are the most

Greedy, Selfish, Stupid, Ignorant, Blind, Confused, Disrespectful.

Because Really. We pollute the earth, kill our own species, over populate, collide in war over resourses instead of finding new reuseable resourses, raise kids with hatred, go back to the ones who hurt us, disrespect others because they look different.

All Because we "need" money, need to be socially accepted into the age community of peers, or just plain ignorant.

I truthfully do not understand how the smartest beings on the planet are the most destructive the most common answers would be because of greed, selfishness, stupidity.

Us as human beings cant get along because of race, way of being raised, intellect, weight, color of skin, diety.

And because of all this we create wars, gangs, armys, crews, and for the middle school, high school area cliques.

In elementary it didnt matter color or ethnic background we were friends or we werent friends..

Us as humans will be exinct not because of meteors or another species hunting us or aliens, it will be at our fault.

"God"
Another thing that bothers me is the belief in a superior being. Only because in my mind I personally dont know what to believe, I can’t believe in something that hasn’t shown its existance to me. I cannot say hes not there we cannot prove he isnt. But also you cant say a being who has no voice, no body, no mind and no image can exist. Only on belief you can.

Disrespect
Heres my main concern or "rant"

How can someone hurt by another go back? How can someone join a gang because their scared? How can people think thier so much better than others just because? How can someone not listen to someone else even if its the truth and they know it?

My point here is people are stupid, they believe what they want to believe, they see what they want to see, they hear what they want to hear. I hate all races, colors, pretty much people in general for all the reasons I can think of and put in this rant blog. Now wether you agree with me or not this is how the world is and this is how the world will end!

I think you're obviously upset, so I don't want to cause any more irritation for you...but I think you're way off base on pretty much everything.

It would take a lot of typing that I don't really feel like doing at the moment to pick apart everything I disagree with but I'll do it if you're interested in hearing it. I think touching on religion is most ridiculous since it is such a personal and nebulous thing; obviously there are fundamentalists that everyone looks at and kind of goes "well wtf are those people doing?" but there are so many more people to whom religion means something totally different.

Conflict is an unavoidable part of human nature. We are sentient, hold our own opinions, and are strong in our beliefs...when we are pressed to work with someone who holds very different beliefs from our own, we naturally struggle to reconcile our differences while coming to a mutually acceptable conclusion. This has been going on for as long as humans have organized themselves into groups, so I think that suggesting this is a new phenomenon is completely incorrect.

I think you've touched on so many things in this post and given such a cursory look into each one that I'm really having a hard time getting started tearing it apart.

this is how humans have acted since the beginning of time bro. Look at the Medieval period in Europe, you had the Kings, other noble men, and then serfs. They fought wars, but it was harder because they only had horses and what not to travel on. Now a days its worse because even the poorer countries (to an extent) have cars, automatic guns and maybe in RPG and missles!

There will always be conflict, thats our nature. And Ikaika is right on the religion thing, to you religion might mean accepting an invisible man in the sky as your g-d, but for me, its about my heritage, my family's legacy, and the legacy of my ethnic background. Yes, I do agree with and believe in the majority of Judaism, but I'm a Reform Jew, and don't agree with some things in Orthodox Judaism, such as splitting men and women during the service so the men don't lust after another mans wife...

I think i'll let Ikaika taclke the rest.

Well i see what you guys are saying... but i tryed to explain while in the rant that even tho i brought up religion i told everyone they have thier own way of thinking of things yeah its touchy but i mean these are just all my opinions. Im not pointing people who believe in "God" and saying thier wrong im just stating how i feel and how both sides could be right.. I mean anything is possible we could have a higher being but to me i havnt seen,heard,touched him in any way so how can i put faith into something that hasnt shown itself to me. Im agnostic im not atheist i dont denie (SP) that there is no god i just have trouble believing..

And i tryed to make everything relate to The 6 words i put in the top
(Greedy, Selfish, Stupid, Ignorant, Blind, Confused, Disrespectful) and fighting is human nature i know this but being the smartest beings on the planet how come we develope weapons that could destroy the earth as a last resort for wars? I mean were gonna fight but rather than fighting for resources or anything else why cant we talk it out? its because everyones ignorant. I know this but here again were the smartest beings and the world wont last with us on it in personal opinion.

Long story short everything i said was only an opinion, yes people with disagree with the "god" thing but i stopped at only in belief you can which might have been alittle less than others but this was only half the stuff that was going thru my mind atm. And the war thing yet again was only an opinion im not arguin with you guys i respect your opinions im just telling you guys i maybe left some minor details out when explaining everything like i forgot to detail the 7 words at the top i tryed to pull into everything.

So i do want to hear more from u guys actually because i posted it too see the mixed emotions and most of em were about god :P

Exactly... its well known that we are going to be the cause of our own demise. The thing is.. its a last resort. Unless u get some kind of crazy bastard who decides that it would be fun to launch a nuke or two.

As for the religion.. you should have already known, it was gunna be a touchy subject. Everyone has their own beliefs and struggles in life, which all ties into the war and fighting. No matter how much ppl sit and talk.. they are gunna believe what they wanna believe. If you think ur g.f is cheating on u, and i mean ur deadset she is... are you really gunna listen to what she has to say? Some ppl might... but the majority of ppl aren't... cuz they already have it in their minds its going on. This is why people cannot sit down and talk.. if they could... two world wars would not have already happened.

Its like a quote i love " I do not know what weapons world war III will be fought with.. But World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones"

Never" i wasnt implying why we dont, i was implying why are we unable to? these arnt questions for you guys to answer when i asked a question in a rant i implyed people to think about it not answer to me.

You are greatly misinformed if you think it's only been the past few generations.

I think taking more history classes would ease your mind. I get the strong feeling that you have very little idea about who we are and where/what we come from.

And I only include the past generations from which what my eyes and what stories and biographys has told me. I dont include full explanations in these because it was mainly just to make me feel better.

I was referring to pretty much the entire human existance since we knew we were polluting and such was hurting the enviroment and earth :P im sry i didnt point out which is which but i was writing quick :P

Everything ive said is just a run through of the thoughts going thru my mind of what i wanted to write down so if i thought about the generations being stupid and etc. i put that then i thought about things we do that are dumb and wrote down that..

Have you taken a college level course on Western Civilization? If not, I highly recommend it. It will answer a lot of your questions about why we are the way we are, and how we came to this point. I'm not trying to sound elitest, but it is very beneficial to know the history of mankind. If you follow history it will explain to you pretty clearly exactly what and where religion comes from, how the wars we are fighting today actually started over a thousand years ago, and most of all, how far we've come. Of all of the ages, the pox Americana has been one of the most peaceful. We live in the first age where there is truly no more global conquest, slavery has mostly been abolished, countries are run by true democracies, and those of us who are fortunate enough to live in modern countries enjoy a higher quality of life than our ancestors could have ever dreamed of. The very fact that the united states army is 100% volunteer, there is a black man running for president, and the existence of the kyoto treaty speaks leaps and bounds about how truly civil and free we are in this age.

Even just 200 years ago, the world was no where as civilized as it's forced it's self to become today.

As for pollution: No one knew. Industrialization didn't even take place until what? The late 1800s? When our great great great grandfathers were burning coal to supply energy to the first power grids they had no idea it would tear the ozone apart.

I love history, and i havnt taken a college level of any kind of history. But all im tryin to do was seeming i posted it on myspace for all my buddys 17-20yrs old to question stuff too many people go through life just living how it seems right. I look to depth in things. I wasnt saying all the facts as u see but i dont know em all as u can tell. All i was doing is quickly writing down things that bothered me.

And i wasnt saying this isnt the most peaceful time i was only implying instead of fighting how come we "cant" talk it out. how are we inable to?
im not looking for an answer at this point but im a guy who questions everything. For instance my own beliefs. If i dont believe in god and die its too late for salvation i go to hell, if i dont fully have trust in god like i do when i die i go to hell. I havnt read the bible so if im wrong sry lol its what i interpret from what ive heard from church and such when i went...

But really look down upon a person trying to learn who has it wrong?, or look down upon a person who has it wrong and is stubborn enough to not question his own answer?

I'm not even sure what this means. Try not trainwrecking three sentences into one and I might be able to follow.

If something bothers you, learn about it first, then you can rant to your heart's content...you seem to lack a fundamental understanding of the things you're writing about, so I'd suggest doing more research and trying to gain an understanding of the current state of affairs that way.
