Anyone here have connections to the publishing industry?

I'm curious, because I wrote a fictional novel earlier this year, and i'm just in the final stages of editting now. I was wondering if anyone here is a publisher, or has any connections. Just drop a line if you do know someone, or are someone, thanks a lot. :fingersxd I'm pretty confident i'd be able to get it published myself, but having connections can never hurt, and it'd make things a lot easier on me probably. I have a second one that i'm going to be writing shortly, and I acutally have a pretty great connection for this one, so I don't think i'll need any help on this one. I'm acutally in talks with Pamela Anderson about this one, i've personally met her and talked to her about it and stuff, that'd be good because its a pretty big name. I don't need to go into too much detail about that (or not yet anyway, but I will if anyones interested after it gets faciliatated, if it does) but basically it works so that theres a specific reason why Pamela would be interested in this, and it also works in a way that it won't be like "Pamela plugged it and is supporting it, it's gotta be some unintelligable garbage" it will be seen in a positive light.

I'll talk more about it later, and if anyone does have any connections or whatever that'd kickass. =) pm me any contact information, like e-mail or instant messenger or anything and we can talk about it.

Thanks bro, and yeah, it isn't my goal to become an author or anything but.. I've always been told I have a real gift for writing, and I don't mean to sound egotistical here, but I think i'm at least an above average writer, it's just that I don't particularily enjoy it or do it very often. But the fantasy I had motivation to write, because a good friend of mine was there for me a LOT when I really needed someone earlier this year and so I figured they love reading, and they love fantasy, so i'd write them a fantasy. I don't even like the genre much myself. I'm writing another for another motivation too, but I figure if I can make a few dollars with my work that can't hurt. I am in a bit of a pickle financially. It'd be a nice way to make supplemental income I suppose anyways. And by the way, for anyone who is curious, my career that i'm aiming for is Underwater Welding and I don't need any help with that, i've done a LOT of research, working things out, and all kinds of other things and have all of that totally worked out.

I live in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

EDIT: I see you live in Canuckville.

I'm acutally likely going to Vancouver for a few months as of August or September. I'd be living there probably until late December or into January.

Maybe they will turn one of your books into a movie, and Pam can be in it....

Thanks a lot man, and yeah i'll definitly keep you guys posted. And it would be really awesome to see something I wrote be recreated on the big screen, I could definitly write the screenplay for it myself too. And haha, no offense meant to Pam but I definitly wouldn't want her in my movie.

Besides the fact that she is a really bad actress (imo), her appearance would be inappropriate in the type of story it is. It wouldn't really make sense, though in the one that she was talking with me about she would probably be able to play a minor role in that. And yeah, I have a few pictures with her that my buddy took.

But "The wheels are in motion." As Jerry Seinfield said to Baboo Baaht. Why i'm posting here is.. I'm wondering if anyone here is a good artist, and thinks they'd be up to the challenge of creating cover art, and possibly back art. There will be of course something in it for you, pm me and we can negeotiate and I will disclose a lot more information.

Also, I hope some people here will be interested in grabbing a copy? =)
