Any Gun Enthusiats?

Just picked up a Mossberg .270 bolt action with a synthetic stock and bushnell 3x9 scope.....ran me about $450 after everything. That makes 4 guns for me...I also have a Mossberg 500 12 guage, NE Firearms 20 guage, and a Marlin Model 60 .22.

Anyone else really into firearms and shooting?

Hate to say it Schroeder, but I've never heard anything good about those Mossberg rifles

what's bad about them? it was kind of a spur of the moment thing.....winchester would ahve been my first choice.....but i couldn't pass up the deal

Can't say I'm an enthusiat but I sure do love to shoot them. Pretty good shot with an unscoped rifle. Unloading a full clip from an AK is just heavenly. So is shooting a .357 Magnum. I'll be buying a gun sometime in the fall. Not exactly sure what I want yet, it will be more for fun then protection.

I personally like Ithacas, but that might be the fact that the old factory was like 20min away from my house too :p

I think Winchester went out of business... I just heard on the news a few days ago. they are closing their doors...

I live pretty close to a lot of gun factories.. Smith & Wesson is like 10 minutes away, Savage arms is about 20minutes away, Ruger is about 30 minutes away..

It is a sad thought... they were one of the oldest gun companies around...

I have:

New England firearms 410- (my first gun when I was like 8)
Marlin 30/30- Kick ass gun, I have killed all of my animals with it other than some ducks, squirrels, and other varmit.
Winchester 270- New edition, pretty kick ass.

Plus have any gun out of my dad's cabinet, which is a good selection.

Looking into a cheap pistol.

DEFINATELY get the Springfield XD45 man ... I want!

If you can't afford that, look into a Taurus! GREAT prices for GREAT guns.

i paid $75 for it off my buddy's dad. the thing looks like that rifle from jumanji
