Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 114 | I don't really get angry all that much... I don't get much stimulous to do so..... I suppose it mostly happens when I am playing golf. Generally, I throw and kick things.

Whenever I get upset I just start repeating "serenity now, serenity now" seriously if you have a bad temper the only thing that will help is to learn to deal with your anger. Force yourself to calm down by telling yourself that getting mad will not solve anything.... | |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 158 | Something many many many therapists of the past have taught me. Count backwards! I usually start at 100 if I'm really ticked... but starting at 25 is usually sufficient to take the edge off of your anger. (I used to have very bad problems with 'flipping out' on people)

| IMPC Contestant | I just scream an obscenity as loud as I possibly can (if I'm not at school or whatnot) then when I'm done... generallyh 30-40 seconds later.... I feel great.

| Pro Stature | I have anger problems, I'll be the first to admit that. The good thing is I can control myself and not lash out at others. To rememdy this I: Go for a drive (well used to, lived near the country so it was easy). Play video games. Love them to death. Catalog my numismatic collection. Have to be careful with $200+ chunks of silver. Sit down, put some music on, and just chill. This one I just learned recently. Tense every muscle you possibly can for 20-30 seconds as hard as you can. After that time, release. Do this a few times and you'll feel a lot better. |
